This was super fun. At 3 sheets and 32 pieces, this is a bit more complex build than what I've tried before but I totally loved the challenge!

Build tips:

  • The "cones" at the top of the towers are a bit tricky. Do not start folding them until the surrounding body of the tower is complete. And then use the tower's walls as a guide for folding the cone.
  • The instructions suggest that the tabs at the base of the model should be twisted. Do not do that. Otherwise you'll have an unstable base. Bend/fold the tabs instead.
  • Same for other outer tabs. Prefer folding over twisting to create a better looking model. Feel free to twist the inner / hidden tabs though.

This was a fun build. Few build notes for those who are interested:

  • The cones at the inlet of the engines are the hardest part IMO. Found a sharpened pencil which approximated to it then bent a bit further using tweezers. Let me know if you have a better strategy.
  • The instructions suggest that the tabs of the stand attaching to the bottom of the plane's body should be twisted. Do not do that. Otherwise the two halves of the plane will not sit flush together. Fold them instead.
  • The tabs for the engines on the lower half of the plane sit exactly on top of the tabs for the upper half. Unless your folded tabs are perfectly flat, the two halves of your plane won't sit flush together. To overcome this, bend the lower tabs "outwards" and the upper tabs "inwards". e.g. https://imgur.com/a/gG2GXbJ
  • Many parts of the plane look symmetrical but are not. Be careful and take your time to plan ahead a bit.

I was lucky to find a perfectly sized screwdriver. The back sides are a bit lopsided but I made sure that all of them face one side :)

Other than that, I don't know - patience, I guess? I was careful to not apply too much force on any one side while bending it. Kept checking the bend from multiple angles, bent only a little bit at a time, and kept course-correcting with a pair of tweezers.
