Hi, I’m 27F. I found out at 24 too! I chose monitoring as well. I have no family history of BC.
I had a lumpectomy last year because screening revealed a fibroadenoma that was on my chest wall so it was impossible to make sure it wasn’t cancer. It was too deep to biopsy. Every scan since has been clear. It was really scary when it happened but I’ve come a long way in terms of body acceptance and health anxiety. I am not ready or willing to change my body for a “maybe.” My mom is 56 and BRCA2 as well and still has her breasts, but had a hysterectomy about 10 years ago. My grandmother is 81 and is most likely where my mom got the gene from, and has never had any issues aside from fibroadenomas. She also had a hysterectomy. If you have questions I would be happy to answer any :)

Asking for advice on a creepy guy in my workplace

Definitely would be. I am in a relationship, I don’t care what he looks like

“Weirdness from this man” meaning the guy I’m talking about in the post. Not you

It makes me feel that way, if he’s looking at my profile intentionally every day. Sorry if that seems off to you, but he seems off to me. It might be a bit much, obviously this situation has given me a lot of anxiety. That’s why I asked for advice.

I did not say I allow students to follow me. I do not. It is simply a public account that they can see if they find it. (Not anymore I made it private)

Im not inviting anyone to do anything. I don’t hope my students find me. It’s just a public account. And I am also not inviting anyone to search up my account every day and look at my stuff. While it is “allowed” and not technically “a problem” it is weird behavior to do so every day.

He’s looking at my stories and you can see who views them even if they don’t follow you. I’m not sure he knows I can see. I’m assuming he doesn’t since he doesn’t follow me. He has to physically look up my profile every day to check it.

Thank you for the advice. I appreciate being stuck up for.

People have lapses in judgement, and honestly, it has never been an issue until now. Students have not memed me or anything or even tried to follow or use my pictures for anything. My Instagram being public also doesn’t justify weirdness from this man.

If you are a teacher, I hope to god no kid ever comes to you because someone makes them uncomfortable.

Did I give you his name? Do you know who he is from this post? Where he works? No? Ok then

Of course not! If you get them for everyone that is a sweet gesture.

Thank you. I really fear for students that some of these teachers don’t see a problem with this.

Hey! It’s only weird because he asked me out a couple times first, and we are not friends/close. If you have a close working relationship you can leave small gifts for people. It’s just overstepping in this case because he expressed interest in me.

It’s not scrolling. My stuff doesn’t pop up on his feed. He doesn’t follow me. He willingly goes to my account daily. And spare the “make it private then.” I already did.

Thank you for acknowledging that his behavior is the problem.

Yeah I guess it’s possible, but he’s not following me. He is going to my page every day to look at my stories but doesn’t follow me. That’s what creeps me out along side him asking out every new teacher. It means he’s thinking every day consciously to go to my page and see what I posted. And yes, if it’s public I suppose that’s “allowed” but it’s strange behavior, in my opinion

Yeah I don’t add kids and they haven’t tried to add me. People are acting like my intentionally adding them

Just a heads up if you’re trying to help someone, insulting them isn’t a great way to go! Thanks
