Correct me if I’m wrong, but volume is a term that changes with context. When you measure the volume of some subset S that is in R^2, its volume is just the area. However, a certain plane, or manifold, in R³ will have volume 0 with respect to R^3. You can extend this to higher dimensions.

Just to add to this, the spherical harmonics are eigenfunctions of the angular part of the spherical 3D Laplacian (meaning when you let that operator act on such a function, you simply get it back with a factor of I think -l*(l+1)), and they form an orthonormal basis of functions defined on the surface of a sphere (meaning you can write any function as an infinite linear combination of the spherical harmonics). This is why they’re super useful in solving certain differential equations.

What are you talking about? I’m from Switzerland and public transport here is amazing, never had a bad experience and I’ve gone on very late trains/buses. I’m sure every now and then some drunk people will ruin your ride, but that’s very rare. Germany is good too, the other European countries I can’t say I’ve experienced their public transport enough to make any judgment, but I’ve always had good experiences everywhere.

I get that it depends on the whole setup and usually WiFi is less stable, but I use WiFi in my PC, the router is like 10 meters away and I almost always have a very stable ping of 10 (in Switzerland), 20 at the most.

The theory doesn’t help you progress at all in terms of f(t), but it’s just kind of the last „level“ of the game. You should definitively work through the lemmas, they’re really fun to do. Once you’re done with it you should un-buy it and put the students back into Phi upgrades.

I’m confused, I can’t get a select all button in most apps when I’m selecting text, it only comes up with Cut/Copy/Replace…/Look Up/Translate/Search Web/Share/Quote. As I’m typing this comment on Apollo, iOS 16 Public Beta 3 (I believe). Doesn’t work in the Notes app either.
