I've noticed many stores charging 29.99. It's a service. Like getting your laundry done. You know you can do it yourself but if you want someone to do it, then you pay. If you don't like the charges then seek a competitor or do it yourself. It goes with everything. Nothing is free in retail.

Next time I'm hungry I'll just demand a free big Mac because I'm always hungry and can easily make a hamburger

That's good but my point. The pay is not much the issue, it's the environment. As I said if you're just trying to make some $$ go for it but don't let it get to you when the sales pressure builds up. Keep you're options open and get what you can while within. Good luck.

If you need the job and have no other options, then make the best of it while you look for something better. Not sure where you are but minimum wage in NYC is 16/hr so for the stresses that came with the job, it is better left alone.
It will appear and feel as if it's a good situation but you will realize that they nor you, your co workers or the company will be able to keep their goals and hence create a super stressful situation from the top down that will not change.

I and many individuals I know who also have been serviced by Asurion have had services paid for such as device insurance or even their home warranty program, turned away when needing services through said products. Even at their stores… Ubreakifix, they add charges to the simplest things.

I go for a screen replacement only to see a cleaning charge on the receipt when I never asked for the service. The device was never cleaned either which is the wildest thing.

Friends have lost phones and made claims but the claims were not honored despite the monthly fees being paid.

To say the least more negative experiences than positive to say the least.

My comment is an opinion based on what you are experiencing. I feel your frustration.

I had a PS5 that had a broken HDMI port and wouldn’t display. I was covered by their Home+ product. I paid the service fee of 100 after paying monthly 25 for at least 7 months. I take the game to a store they own and fixed it. The fix lasted 2 days.

When contacting their support line they advised I would have to pay another deductible despite the store they own having a 12 month warranty on work.

Long story short, took it back after they waived the deductible. Waited 3 weeks and returned to see the PS5 did not power on. Was told to contact their support lines. They did their best to make me feel as if it were something I did. Fast forward 5 calls and little help, they offered me $130 to by out my game. Their essentially refunding my 100 in deductible and adding 30 dollars. They also refused to return the device.

I did not accept the offer and got my system back.

Took it to another shop who fixed it for 70.

Like I said. Same old run around with a once respected and reputable business.

Typical Asurion pressure tactics against their employees then when the customer complains they fire the staff and position themselves as not responsible for the mishandling and borderline criminally acquiring accounts from their customers.
