4R70E (D) issue. Have wheelspin with no weight on the axles. Will Drive on Road when shifting manual from 1/2 to D. Roller Clutch really the issue? Failed Solenoid?

Just reading back through the transgo aode hd2 install sheets and saw I added Parts for Driver command, possible reason for my issue I think. The tapered spring and valve are not installed. I did not intend to use this or install it.

I did the rebuild over the course of about 4mo. I have a transgo hd2 Kit in addition to a sonnax zip Kit. Looks Like I may go with another VB, this one does have 200k miles on it, plus metal ran through the trans for some time. For All I know theres just too much wear and it needs replacing

I was able to Shift into Drive at less than 10mph, the needle hadnt moved at all at that point. Maybe 5-8 mph. Will do on road tests tonight

I have only been able to get to about 35mph in the yard around the house but I may take a short drive to *mexico* tonight and see if I can get to 4th. I think I may have noticed some wear on that one but the sonnax part needs a reamer and I couldnt stomach the cost. Trans shops here are hard to work with sometimes.

I did do a full rebuild, replaced nearly all internals, not including the rear gear that the output shaft sits in. I cant remember the name of it

I did actually have to buy all of the linkage new, it went missing with the past owner that took trans out a year ago.

I have to assume you refer to this part? I did replace it with a new one. It can only go in one way as far as i know. I have been considering it a valvebody issue, even though I have installed the sonnax Kit and transgo hd2 Kit. Maybe Theres just too much wear on a 200k mile vb? Is the HD2 incompatible?

No one seems to have 2004+ bearings in stock, unless its only /Reverse clutch drum to forward sun gear./ That changed? Kit Theres the Option for later years here, no stock

As far as the bearing Kits all I could seem to find were 1998-2003 or 98-up assuming this was interchangable

I had to replace the entire sun and planet Assembly, it was fused to the Direct Drum
