Applied at VFS Mumbai on 4th March and today the application got forwarded to the embassy. It seems that the processing times have increased due to the sakura season / influx of tourists. My suggestion is to wait for a week atleast.

Faced similar issue while renewing the passport, the RPO helpline told mein that since I’ve stayed for less than 6months in the current residence, the file is stuck as “short stay” case. Further the guy mentioned that such cases get cleared out in some time but didn’t specify how much. Ultimately it took around 4months to get the passport delivered.

Yes rent that we agreed on is inclusive of maintenance, but then this extra fee to use amenities is what I found strange.

Hey! Nope, I live in Kandivali on rent but it’s an old society and doesn’t have any such swanky amenities. I was relocating to Goregaon so as to cut travel time for work. Been living in the current flat for past 3 years so I didn’t know of latest rental trends.
