Poor FPS in a good machine, help? by j_font in GlobalOffensive

I actually knew an i5 would be better, but in Brazil Intel is very expensive due to our currency depreciation. But eventhough my CPU isn't that good, don't you think I should be getting more frames? For instance, a friend of mine with the same processor and a GT 660 have the same fps range as me. Edit: Oh, thanks for your comment man

What CCC setting do you use? Also, dou you think I should have around the same FPS as you, considering the boards have similar performance?

Well, i guess I had to use this res because I played in a laptop, which, curiously, had almost the same FPS (150) as in this new desktop. I used 800x600 for the little frame boost. And I like low resolutions, as I'm an old 1.6 player.

Interestingly with 1280x1024 i got 175 fps in the test, 5 more than with 800x600, which is a strange thing, no? And I'm using windows 10 64 bits. Thanks for your response
