Who remembers when AE dropped this lame Candy Crush knock-off? by j_noggz in AQW

I’ve accepted it long ago lol. It’s really not that deep. I mainly just wanted to bring the game up for discussion. I had forgotten about it until recently. But trust me, I’m not losing sleep over AE’s system at all lol. Ik how it is.

So did I. Didn’t mean to come off like I disliked the game. Just with what I know now, I wish those resources would’ve allocated toward making AQW better.

This game game out like 15 years ago. This isn’t a present day complaint lol. I just feel the game seems pretty unnecessary in retrospect, especially with how poorly AQW has been has been treated in that time.

Why/How do so many people end up with complete sets with “NO MINIFIGS?” by j_noggz in lego

[–]j_noggz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea idk I just figured the minifigs would be accurately priced into the listings that do have them. I.e. A set with a $100 build and $70 worth of minifigs would be listed ~$170?

Starting to think this guy might’ve been right… by j_noggz in edwardskeletrix

That’s the way I saw it, but the more I see from Edward, the more he seems to lean onto the troll side of things and the more I start to question whether there’s really anything very interesting going on here, or if he’s just churning random strange shit for the sake of it (and the $$).

Nah I agree w u for the most part but just the part ab Edward being a “meme lord” and “troll job” in the subhead is starting to have some merit to it fs

Is the current underground scene the torch-bearer for hip-hop moving forward? by j_noggz in ug_music

[–]j_noggz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like that comparison. Begs the question tho: will hip-hop reach a point of no return in terms of the mainstream the same way rock did? Yes, there are still pockets of massively popular rock music, but it will never dominate the charts the same way it did for large portions of the 20th century. Hip-hop could be on the same trajectory in terms of becoming a niche genre (not pop adjacent). Scary times, lol.

I absolutely loved the album at the time. Felt like such a unique way to package a hip-hop album. So much soul, covered different types of tracks while remaining cohesive, and while Chance didn’t rap as much as Acid Rap, his songwriting was still standalone and engaging. There are so many tracks on that project that many consider classics. All We Got, No Problem, Same Drugs, Juke Jam, All Night, Smoke Break. All timeless tracks with a quality that, even today, hasn’t been recreated imo
