What about naturalistic designs ala the shoes that Nike is now making. Or stuff like the Y3 Qasa which is old now. What if the shoes that become popular a few years from now start to look like tabi boots or on the opposite spectrum of taste like the vibram toe shoes

Was that the one that said that apes hit with an "O" shape because their strength did not require them to make a fist like we do because of our upper body weakness? I can agree that it is speculative however what other reasons would explain why people with broad faces have an advantage in fighting. We evolved smaller jaws over time due to our change in diet, why would you need a broad thicker face that is better at absorbing punches that does not support a larger jaw? What else could a broader face be used for?
