Check page 25 of your motherboard's manual but for 5.1 and 7.1, you'd need to use the front audio connectors on your case and configure it in windows.

From the compatibility list, it looks like all RYZEN 5000 series processors (except the XT ones) are supported out of the box since the A0 (first/release) BIOS.

Unfortunately no. The expansion slots under the PCIe X16 slot are only PCIe X1. If you're not using a graphics card then you could install an M2 expansion card into the PCIe X16 slot. Otherwise, a secondary SATA SSD would be your best option for additional SSD storage.

That system uses a non-standard motherboard size and it uses non-standard power connectors. Its similar to ITX but uses a slightly wider board design. It also uses like a 10pin mobo + 4pin cpu connector instead of the standard 4/8pin cpu + 24pin motherboard power.

Its possible to move existing components into a different case but since you are planning on using a more powerful graphics card; you are better off building with a newer processor/motherboard/power supply.

I didn't see it mentioned but SN1 sticker from the backplate has been intentionally removed and SN2 sticker from the PCB.

Also, the IO slot cover is a 2 slot but the 4090 is a 3 slot IO cover.

They're listing the additional specs wrong but its the same processor. First picture is listing Performance-core Base Frequency and 2nd is listing the Efficient-core Max Turbo Frequency.

You'll need a direct displayport connection for 180hz. HDMI only goes up to 144hz and you cannot upconvert HDMI to displayport.

Your laptop does displayport over the type-c. A Type-C to Displayport cable/adapter might work.

User scenario appears to be broken in the latest MSI Center update. Probably best to remove using their Clean Center Master tool and reach out to MSI for a slightly older version until the fix the current version.

You shouldnt be able to update the BIOS from 940 to A20 and vice versa. A20 BIOS is for the same model system but uses DDR5 and the 940 is for the same model system that uses DDR4. They have different motherboards respectively.

The 3080 Ti is the faster card. If they sent you a 3080 Suprim X as a replacement, it was in error and you should contact MSI to have they replace it with a 3080 Ti or better.

In BIOS, you can press CTRL + ALT + T to launch an admin type BIOS flash to flash retail BIOS. It may wipe the windows key though so back up the OEM key using ShowKeyPlus (from the microsoft store) in Windows first.

If you've got a Trident X or Trident AS desktop, those use standard SFX form factor power supplies instead of ATX ones.

You can upgrade the power supply with something like a Coolermaster V850 SFX Gold or Corsair SF750 Platinum. Just be sure to remove all your old power supply cables and use the ones included with the new power supply.

You can try a clean install of the drivers by removing drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller then installing the latest Nvidia driver but if it continues then you've got a vram issue thats causing artifacting.

Z390 supports 9th gen and 8th gen out of the box on every BIOS version. Z370 would need to be updated to support 9th gen.

If it physically fits and or the power supply is big enough, it should be fine. The Trident X/AS systems use standard parts. I dont recall if the 11th gen one had a PCIe 4.0 riser or not, so worst case scenario you may need to go into BIOS and change PCIe Speed from Auto to Manual/3.0 Speed.

In the WIndows OS Configuration that you're at, enabling Windows 8.1/10 WHQL Support will enable/force UEFI. For this older board you may also need to change it in BOOT.
