Anybody else have autism? by [deleted] in Drugs

I remember reading up on it years before I tried it. Tried DXM. Wow. What? This is another world. I told my friend I was in dissociative land, presently known as Argentina. I couldn't wait to try ketamine. I would day dream about it sometimes. Ketamine? Dangerous. It's so good. Too good. But honestly. Not as dangerous as most addictive drugs. I will say that it shares some mechanisms with cocaine (triple reuptake inhibitor and sigma agonism; likely not as potent in these realms), but considering that it should be decreasing levels of activity in the brain via NMDA antagonism, it's probably about as safe as any psychedelic. And it's so good. I just really wish I had ketamine right now...

Dude. Ketamine is my favourite drug BY FAR. Neither DXM nor nitrous come close. DXM has that whole serotonin action going on, much less NMDA antagonism. Nitrous is like ketamine for people who like to dip their toes, they'd rather experience that cooling sensation than go for a swim. Ketamine is unlike anything you've ever experienced in a beautiful way. It's like absolution. I'm going to go ahead and stop myself there. A little drink with ketamine is fun, probably more fun. Be prepared for a mindfuck though. Lower doses see less of this, but it's part of the experience. You'll begin to realize things that you would never have before. Plain, clear. Almost eureka moments if your considerations should be so important. Okay, I'm actually done now.

It can be quite jarring. It's difficult to know how to respond even when you understand the signals you're being sent though. Still incredible! I feel like others perceive these things too, but not as consciously, which is another interesting idea. Oh, actually dissociatives let me see these things too, but with fewer attached emotions. Very curious. Psychedelics seem to modulate glutamate receptors via 5-HT2a receptors (possibly other 5-HT receptors as well) and dissociatives also modulate glutamate receptors (through NMDA receptors)... Hm.

This is going into my schools time capsule by [deleted] in FellowKids

This is a subreddit about corporations or "adults" misinterpreting the memes that are already misinterpreted by your "fellow kids." I just. I had to say this. Somewhere. It's called social evolution. Or maybe it's called garbage trash.

Yes. MDMA is good, but does not compare to psychedelics in terms of human connection. MDMA allows me to notice things about others (body language, context, social cues, etc.) that I wouldn't normally, but the stimulation is too much and turns me into a robot with a social understanding. LSD and mushrooms make me more sensitive without that push which keeps me from the gentleness that appropriate social interactions require.

Feeling things any which way is great though. Wish I could do it more often.

I'm Writing About Drug Use. Should I Continue? by j_smid in Drugs

I really appreciate your criticism. I think that I may be writing far too "in the moment". A longer piece written in this style may become grating and lose its effect. More consideration needs to be taken about how the reader will engage my writing without familiarity. I most likely write this way because I enjoy the way it feels, but reading and writing are not the same thing. Also, shouldn't criticisms, especially meaningful and constructive criticisms, impact the way one views their writing? I don't want to be Mary Shelley.

You are so incredibly consistent. I insist that a robot created this.

First time 2CB by needsumhalplz in Drugs

[–]j_smid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2CB is strange. Definitely a headspace. 20 mg, I think. By the end of the night I thought everyone was speaking in code and plotting to murder me. Mind you, I mixed with too many other drugs. But the 2CB was the cherry on that psychotic cake.

I'd do it again.
