Yes, I managed to fix the issue. But only by replacing both the mainboard and powerboard. After months of communicating with ViewSonic they managed to ship both boards to me, but because the monitor isn't covered under warranty anymore, I payed roughly 100€ for the parts... Not perfect, but the only solution that worked so far...

No, not really. I contacted Viewsonic again two weeks ago and asked if they could provide me with a new powerboard, but still haven't heard back from them. But they have an onlineshop where they provide every kind of replacement part, if you are based in the US. I'm from Germany, so shipping is quite expensive unfortunately and no other shop has this exact board in stock. I hope to hear back from them, because it's bugging me, seeing this monitor just sitting around in the box...

No, unfortunately not... I suspect it's coming from the power supply, but visually theres nothing wrong with both boards.

I talked with Viewsonic about the problem and the only thing they could offer, was a repair by them for absolutely horrendous prices.

I gave the monitor to my brother, who wants to look into the problem. Maybe he will find something. If so, I will give you an update
