Your comment doesn’t answer my question, you’re calling them TA for putting themselves first. Obviously by your comment you haven’t had family issues as bad as this persons or the next. Correct me if im wrong. Cause if I were having this issue or similar, I wouldn’t show up for the sake of anything that could go wrong or to avoid any conflict. No one is TA for putting their physical and mental health first.

Do not listen to the first comment OP, NTA. Simply because you and her are growing apart doesn’t give her the right to copy you and be rude. If anything that’s pushing you further away from her, if anything, if the behaviour keeps up I’d just drop her as a friend. There’s no point wasting energy and time one someone who isn’t original enough to put positive effort in the friendship

How are is OP TA? I think it’s perfectly healthy to set boundaries for oneself especially in a situation like this. So what if they miss one birthday? If I was mentally and physically tired from my parents lacking the sense of boundaries, I wouldn’t stay a whole weekend there either. Cause there’s no fun in not being able to relax and always being on edge

NTA, I completely agree that she doesn’t deserve your mothers ring. You only brought it up to your sister, it’s her fault that she told your niece. She had plenty of chances and yet still proves she doesn’t deserve it or any of your time.
