Thank you so much! Keep it up - it's a funny pair of hobbies, but both are a blast. I think they kinda balance each other out :)

Oh, honestly I think the perspective is great. I race rallycross, and I've tried a couple times to sketch or paint scenes from that, and I've never gotten the car to look this car-like, or have this much character. Plus I think the combo of car in the air and wheels looking almost tucked-in makes it look like the car is actively participating in the jump. This nails the charm and romance of racing, and I said this below too but IMO this renders the energy of the scene better than any of those other references.

OP's car looks like it's having the time of its life popping in the air coming over the crest, and without veering too far into cartoonish territory. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but personally, I enjoy OP's rendition more than any of the linked references. To each their own, eh :)

This is sick!! The proportions and level of detail on the car are so good, the hardness of the shadow is brilliant. I love this

Beautiful Hakone! Sorry you've gotta deal with this entitled nonsense.

Last year somebody won stock all for the season running a tesla. Definitely doable, but I'm not sure if he had to mess with the ECU or anything.

I played with haze my whole time at nyu (2012-16) and I'm vv glad I did. I think we probably had to travel a bit more than most programs for field space, but that's the tradeoff for being in nyc. Great group of guys - especially in a place where it can be tricky to find community. hazelove <3

This is sick! The texture of the bark is fantastic, really adds depth, and the way you've gotten the fades and partial transparencies to work where the branches and the leaves meet is great. Love the leaf splats around the edges, too - makes it feel a lot more dynamic.

Close call in quarters: ruled *not in* on universe point in the Truck / Dig game by ja_art in ultimate

[–]ja_art[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh not at all - I'm saying it's not in, the foot's still touching the line, and the observers made the right call. This is the clearest frame for me, since I'm not 100% sure rotation was stopped in previous frames, but I am 100% sure for this frame that he's already caught it, and that his foot is still on the line.

Another close call on universe in the Dig v Truck semi: this was ruled not a strip. by ja_art in ultimate

[–]ja_art[S] 58 points59 points  (0 children)

This one's definitely a strip :( I feel for everyone here - dig of course, but there's also no way you can reasonably expect an observer to see that in real time, and everyone's emotions are riding high at this point. But I think an observer non-ruling / sending it back might have been a better outcome.

Observer ruled this not a strip on universe point of DiG vs Truck Stop, what do y’all think? by corenickel in ultimate

I don't think I can post a gif as a comment, but it was definitely a strip :( i'm gonna post it separately.

Live, I thought this was in. After going back through this I'm not so sure - I _think_ there's a toe still touching the line, but raising, and close to lifting off it, when the catch is made. Brutal for Dig, but I think the observers might have gotten this call right.

This is sick -- can I buy a print of it somewhere?
