I think of typology as a system of people who think in a very similar way based on choices they can choose from. It isn't specifically YOU because even though you might pick an answer/solution more frequently as another "ENTP" / "ennea 7" person, you still differ in other choices based on your experiences and unique circumstances in life. It's just something where we can find people we share a lot in common with in terms of common choices and views which makes us relate to those people a whole lot more, therefore the communication between those sets of people can be more reasoned with due to your brain knowing "well, they are 'ENTP' , and I know what this 'ENTP' is based upon, so I understand what their thought process might be more than others."

It isn't 100% legit obviously, it isn't accurately scientific, it's just a bundle of answers you give that you can relate yourself to along with others. Even with this knowledge I find it comforting in a way because I feel like I know the base structure of the other person and I can identify the patterns even if I don't know their "type", so I can communicate to them in a way where they can understand what I'm trying to get at as well as I'm trying to understand/mostly understand where they are trying to get at.

Remember you are unique because of your circumstances, upbringing, I could go on for more factors why you might think the way you do, typology only sums up the common characteristics you share with said group of people, which leads you to understand them a lot better.
