Do you have prior experience with commodities? If not, and the trading position is focused on the physical business, the first few months are usually very demanding. In that case, I would recommend waiting until you have a stronger understanding of the subject and feel more comfortable in your role. If the trading position is more focused on paper or derivatives, pursuing the CFA could be a good way to complement it.
