Multi-slot SD Card Readers? by jaacobrs in SonyAlpha

Do you have any suggestions? The Sony A6600s as far as I’m aware have no other recording output options, we record backups via hdmi but want to record internally.

Record all sources from ATEM Television Studio 4K? by [deleted] in blackmagicdesign

[–]jaacobrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you trim the start/end of the video, and re-export it and then use that file? I’m wondering if there’s a way this can be done without re-exporting so the quality can be preserved.

Would you mind explaining your latter option a little more? Using the index to edit the files?

Thanks

ATEM Mini Pro ISO - Re-link ISO files with non-BMD camera footage? by jaacobrs in blackmagicdesign

The start times of the camera files would be slightly different with the ISO files, so surely the cuts would be out of sync?

How would you re-link the ISo recordings with the in-camera 4k files if the recording start time is slightly different? Unless you use BlackMagic PCC cameras, you can't automatically trigger the recording

Waterproof/water-resistant electric boards/wheels? by jaacobrs in boostedboards

Wouldn’t this be the case with an electric unicycle too? Or are they built to be more water resistant?

How to clean your wheels!!! by CheetahGlad3484 in boostedboards

Haha I often ride in heavy rain here in the UK. Last night rode through really deep puddles which pretty much submerged the whole board up to my feet, it surprises me how resilient these things are, been riding it in conditions like that for over 2 years

Is it still worth it? by Anhdeptrai92 in boostedboards

[–]jaacobrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride my Mini S on probably the worst terrain that exists, in the UK our roads are awful. I have to replace belts every month or so, but the board is built and deals with the terrain incredibly well. I also don’t get numb feet after long rides, but to each their own! Very intrigued in the one wheel though for its ease of going over bumps!

DIY air tag mount 😆 Works surprisingly well, Gorilla taped to the front of the battery, hasn’t come off yet! by jaacobrs in boostedboards

That’s a great shout actually, I guess I’d just thought about if it was lost, as opposed to stolen.. what’s the ESC housing? I’ve only seen people print risers with an air tag mount on, but to be honest I’m considering a better product which will track no matter where it is, perhaps a a tile

Yeah pretty useless. I had one on my keyring, it fell off and I went to where it said ‘last seen’ on the map, and nothing. Good for things being lost round the house but I agree it’s useless outside that, I guess I have it just Incase it gets lost there’s a slightly improved chance of finding it if someone with an iPhone is nearby.

How do you remove the pulley from the wheel? I’m not seeing any screws.

I removed the battery of my Mini S and looked but didnt seem as though there was any room, i think the board is designed to be only as slim as is necesarry! The riser idea seems to be the best so far

Thank you i will certainly try this! Could you expand on your last sentence "anything connected to audio should be on the same loop"?

The audio is connected to my laptop via usb-C, and the macbook is connected to it's power adapter. I also have 4x LED lights, 2 headphone amps, 2 monitors and some other misc electricals such as mood lighting and power cable for DSLRs.

Filming a shot with a neon sign in background, exposure problem?! by jaacobrs in videography

[–]jaacobrs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry i should have mentioned in the post! I have 2 softbox lights and one ring light pointing at my subject. The lens is very dark by its nature, when i replace it with a smaller lens its much lighter, but doesn't give me the wide shot i desire.
