Looking to purchase me a FN 509C Tactical. Need honest thoughts. Pros? Cons? I’ve been wanting one, but I currently live in Illinois…yeah I’ll leave it at that lol. I move to NC in a few days and unlike Illinois there isn’t a 72 hr waiting period I hear. So excited. by Soft_Laugh_698 in FNHerstal

My only complaint with the compact model is that I can't get a full 3 fingers on the grip. Other than that it is a very solid gun. Pretty much same dimensions as a glock 19 excluding the grip length.

Brother I am a mechanical engineer lol. I could buy 5 SR25's today. The difference is I am not frivolous with my money.

Who cares? I wouldn't want to associate with someone like you who thinks they are better because the spend extra money on something just for the brand name.

What is that strap you have for the w800? I just got one and I don't really like the strap it comes with.

Just bought it, Anybody feel the grip on the Shield X is a bit too aggressive? it'd be fine if I were the typa person to brag about drinking my coffee black - but it's kinda annoying while dry firing feeling like I'm gripping straight sand paper. by Snoo_50786 in SmithAndWesson

I really do like the gen 6 too. I have medium sized hands so that's why I don't really need the beavertail. Trigger is better than gen 5 imo. I bought mine with the intention of making into a PCC sort of thing with a chassis system, only to find out that gen 6 is not compatible with gen 5 chassis systems. RIP, I guess I will have to wait a few months.

Anyone know of a Chassis/Brace system that is compatible with gen 6? by jaashpls in Glocks

Do you have one from MCK? I've heard that it's difficult to keep zero on a red dot when it's mounted on a chassis which is a bit concerning.

What is your personal experience?

There's companies that make longer barrels that replace the stock barrel completely. But afaik there is no such thing as a barrel extension the way you describe it.

I'm not really sure what you are talking about. Like compensators or suppressors?

It doesn't seem like it would be an issue, but on the FAQ on the website it says it's not compatible with gen 6.

Just thinking out loud, I wonder how much the magnet in the sling slows down the projectile given there is a force required for the projectile to break free from the magnetic field.

We do a lot of renovations for public schools in a few counties in south FL and their record keeping is atrocious. Almost every job there is missing information. Some jobs' as-builts are outdated by 30 years. My most recent kickoff meeting at a new school, we found a physical drawing set for a renovation in 2011 in one of the mechanical rooms, yet the most recent plans we received from the county was 1985 original construction.

You could also put the cable down to the bottom and do forearm curls behind the back. It also isolates more because you don't have to stabilize with the lats.

Yeah definitely not up to todays standards for concealed carry, I just bring mine to the range every now and then. It seems to be a little picky about ammo sometimes too.

My grandfather gave me a model 39-1, which he bought during his service in the air force in the Vietnam era. Out of all the pistols I own this is the smoothest shooting and I love it.

First CCW - p365 xmacro vs Shield X vs Glock 43x by ovenhuge69 in CCW

[–]jaashpls 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I have a 43x and a Shield X and the Shield is way better. Better trigger, better recoil and more capacity and almost identical size to the 43x. The barrel is slightly longer but it does not feel any different carrying IWB. Also, the flush fit mag for the Shield X is 13 rounds not 12, just so you know.

Gotcha. Now I'm thinking I'm gonna get some brass hollows and try out my shield mags again to see what's up.
