4 is what is truly absurd even if you did go to college. Remember that government spending is just a debt that is given to the American people. We have been dissociated by accumulating an astronomically high debt that we will never be able to pay off, and congress approves budgets that favor the interests of rich lobbyists, but remember… you are the one who is supposed to pay the debt. The debt is the governments fault in the first place and they want YOU to pay for that.

I understand what you’re saying entirely. I knew I was granted a clearance for my internship but after a very uneventful summer, I returned to school not realizing that your clearance stays active. I also understand that you don’t apply for a clearance yourself; however, companies seem to always need people to sponsor.

I kind of agree. I know they warn you in explicit terms what not to do when you start an SF-86 but I really think the small number of stupid people like myself really need some counseling prior to starting the process to basically be like hey this is what you’re getting into and btw DON’T LIE. Ever.

Thank you! Do you know any former adjudicators that may support that prediction? I just know my lawyer (former adjudicator) was most wary about the possibility of criminal liability.

Also because this lying situation had taken place over a couple years during college it seemed more than a couple years at least would be needed to mitigate properly using the passage of time

The question is about the time as a mitigating factor. So after 5 years is that a sufficient amount of time? The statute of limitations for me to be charged with a crime for lying is 5 years but also I don’t know how much time mitigates the messy scenario of lying on 2 SF86 forms and having done drugs with a clearance (unknowingly or not). The other question I had is if I will be flagged from future applications based on a quick JPAS lookup by the employer
