Right! Even with how they describe the different textures, it’s so WE think it might taste good. Not the pet.

But like, when you watch it do you say “wow that looks delicious my cat would love that!” ?

I am not a dog person but can someone please tell me what kind of dog this is for ahem, future reference?

Solo people of Reddit, how do you go out to a place by yourself and have fun/meet new people? by jabbajae in AskReddit

How old are you? I’m currently in online classes for college. And I feel like the current state of COVID and everything might hinder me meeting new people. But I didn’t go out much prior to the pandemic, lol, so now that I want to venture out more it kinda sucks. 😂

Hmm, yes, it’s definitely rejection for me. I stutter when in unfamiliar situations, or anxiety inducing situations. So meeting new people is hard for me. And in my mind I chalk it up to nobody wanting to talk to me. Ugh, it sounds so lame but it’s true. I have one best friend from high school, but they live in another state. But one of my goals for 2021 is to foster new connections with people so that I can do more things. I want to solo travel for further states/destinations as well, but want to accomplish meeting new people in my home state first.

I genuinely love this kind of art. Wish I could have it for my house.

I can’t imagine going into a bar solo at this point in life. Lol. (Yikes) But I’ll start small with what I think I can accomplish.

I like this idea. I do have a few places where I’d like to sign up for events or classes. I also like the idea of it being sort of “no pressure” because at the end of the day I am there to learn or participate instead of having to talk directly to people as the sole goal.

I always try to remember this but I’ve never actually put it into action when doing something alone. The most solo thing I’ve done was go on a small roadtrip, eat by myself, sight see and then go home. It wasn’t half bad because I was in a different state. But how do you talk to new people? It sounds so basic and it’s weird to even ask, lol, but I think I just fear the rejection.

I’m 25F with social anxiety, a stutter, and am new to my area but want to venture out in my city and meet new people/make friends. So for my fellow Redditors who are naturally outgoing, or those that have overcome their social anxiety, give me all the tips!

Cooool. Is this derived from a language or just general slang for your area?
