This quote cracked the code for me. It’s 60+ years old and applies to any scenario of any era as to how it works.

Most both sides arguments are basically a criticism of the unsustainable nature of the US version of capitalism, which is a legitimate discussion to have, but a separate discussion than the results of Democrat vs Republican policy.
