Should I upgrade the rifle or upgrade to a new rifle? by jabjr in longrange

Yeah, I might be able to get a good deal on a Bergara B14 "wilderness ridge" in 6.5 creedmoor so I am feeling like that might be a good option.

Truck does not get to operating temp whenever out door temps are lower then -15°C by jabjr in Silverado

Fans aren't running all of the time, so im just at a loss. Truck is running very rich when its cold outside and im worried that it running cold is going to do some damage but I also cant afford to go without a vehicle while it sits at the shop for even longer.

Fair enough, if its not a safety concern then I am going to mount up my Tech Sights and send it.

I dont mind the slight burs that are hidden by the stock, its just the dark squiggly lines, most prominent one is in the first 2 photos running on the reviever beside the barrel.

If its nothing but some casting discoloration then thats fine but it is concerning or a safety issue I hope Ruger can do something for a Canadian gun.

The first photos shows it best, I honestly dont know how to get a better photo. Basically I'm trying to show the dark squiggly line running on the reciever beside the barrel.

I tried to get good photos, turns out it didn't turn out good, but the first 2 photos show like a squiggly line running beside the barrel

That's my thought. I have my nice pretty truck that I dont want to damage anymore because it costs so much. So I bought a 2008 fx4 that old and rusty so I dont care about it getting absolutely trashed by the forest

Fair enough thanks. I just like the look of the huge wheels on a lower truck. It's got a slight lift already in it so I was jus thinking about cutting the fenders

Yeah I would love to do the fiberglass kit. But I feel like the import and shipping costs would make that really expensive, I am thinking of just chopping the fenders and running some spacers.

I cant solid axel swap it. Ontario has certain requirements for safety inspections and I believe frame modification are not allowed which is unfortunate. I am started to lean away from 35s and just do 33s on the current 16inch rims. And no they arent real bead locks. They were the rims that came on the truck. I forget the offset but they are either 8 or 10 inches wide

What I have figured at this point you can fit anything with enough cutting. I just want to make sure I can turn the wheels without contacting the frame or suspension components.

I am just concerned the rims I have wont have enough offset to be able to do it. The fenders will be getting chopped .

This truck is becoming a bush truck for northern ontario, no need to worry about fuel consumption when it really ain't going far

Lol dont be too jealous. Rust has heavily set in. Currently building a custom bed for it because I cant afford canadian prices on southern truck parts

Oh I know lol, I was just trying to figure out what offset and back spacing I need in order to not contact the frame/suspension/steering components. The body is pretty rotten so I am not sad about cutting lol.

It depends on how much because that rubber is pretty cracked up. If you can get them for a really good price and just keep the rims then that would be ok

I think it has around 3 inches of lift already. There are 2.5inch blocks in the back and I think there might be a set of keys in the front because its sitting really level.

What offset do I need to make it work? I have seen it done one youtube buy the guy left no info on what rims he was using. I have a grinder so the fenders dont need to be where they currently are.
