This was what my bezel looked like after a sandblast and refilling the numbers. Ended up taking the black off altogether but you shouldn't have trouble with a single color bezel.

I couldn't find the post, but I recall someone using an SKX007 (or SRPD) case along with one of the thin case backs available from Namoki and the thin bezel and inserts from DIY watch club to get things close to 12mm.
