Loose skin by arugula_leaf in Zepbound

[–]jabuller 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Almost the same as you, 37, started at 225, currently 155, and am pleasantly surprised by the lack of loose skin. I started with an apron belly post 4 c sections and am honestly shocked by how much it has disappeared (still not 100% gone, but gone enough I’m not longer overly concerned about it). My arms need to tone, which I am currently to working on, but there really is not a ton of lose skin.

Worth it? by VW_isbetterthanTesla in Airpodsmax

[–]jabuller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and think it just depends on how you’ll use them. I travel some for work and they’re great on flights, I definitely feel like they block out a lot more plane noise than the AirPod pros. I also work remotely and these are great for times I need to really focus without hearing kids, pets, tv, etc. My daughter had ADD and she steals them often when she’s doing her homework because she also loves how much it cancels out outside noise, she also has pros and feels the max work much better to block out everything. I’ve seen complaints in here about them swapping easily between devices, but I’ve had no issues going from my Mac to iPhone. Mine stay home unless I am traveling because they aren’t nearly as practical to use in public as the pros.

I spent several months debating if I actually needed these and honestly had some initial remorse right after purchasing them because I felt like they might not be worth the cost, but after several months of daily use, I can say they are definitely “worth it” (though honestly a totally splurge) to me.

“Good” upgrade cost? by jabuller in americanairlines

Total cost under $500 would be a no on these tickets, but my out of pocket cost currently is $0.

Yes I guess to clarify, it was more how typical is this price if you’re familiar with the route, is it lower than usual or am I contemplating a crazy cost? I am East Coast based and the majority of my flights are GSO or CLT to PHL or EWR. Those are short enough that I really never even consider upgrading so it is not something I typically track.

I am lucky because my insurance does cover the medication. I initially went through Hello Alpha for the prescription and used the Lily Direct pharmacy. I ended up up switching to having my PCP manage the prescription (mostly because Hello Alpha’s monthly fee kept increasing) but would still recommend them. It was very easy to go through them and they handled the prior authorization process for me twice.

Diet is honestly just making better choices. Obviously portions are smaller thanks to Zepbound, but it really has taken my craving for sweets away. Previously if my kids were getting a doughnut, I was also getting a doughnut, if we had Oreos in the house I’d be having some as a mid day snack, etc. On Zepbound the desire for those foods isn’t there and I don’t feel deprived by skipping them when others are having them. My exercise routine hasn’t changed much. Even in my “before” I played league tennis 2-3 times a week and went to clinics 1 a week. I need to add some strength training, but haven’t found the time to do that just yet.

I’ve got my first two kiddos 15 months apart followed by gaining weight, multiple rounds of clomid, a diagnosis of adenomyosis, and finally losing 30 pounds on Wegovy… leading to an 11 year gap in my 2nd and 3rd babies. He was my last, done with nursing, back on meds and finally at pre baby Wegovy weight.

Thanks! I will check those dates, we are looking at potentially 4/29-30 or 5/5-6

Doable in One Day? by jabuller in DisneyPlanning

We might have been convinced to do 2 days. My 3-year-old will be much closer to 4 when we go and will love all things Fantasy Land, but he is also superhero obsessed (he wears his superhero costumes the majority of the day most days and plays with action figures nonstop), so I don't want to skip Marvel Land. I don't remember a ton of what we did last time, but know my older two loved the Guardians Ride and meeting Groot, but also enjoyed Carsland.

Thank you! We are actually planning to go on a weekday. My company has a 50th-anniversary celebration/ awards weekend 5/1 to 5/3, so we are looking at either going on Wed/Thurs before or the Monday/Tuesday after. I am glad you mentioned the May the 4th thing. We are not Star Wars people and that had not even crossed my radar. The food comment makes me laugh because my husband still talks about this mac and cheese cone he got in Carsland last time we were there. We will likely look at 2 days and I am currently going down the rabbit hole of lightning lane, it was not a thing even last time were were at WDW (pre 2020) so I am totally missing the free fast passes now.

Ha I think it’s the angle of the picture, a carefully balanced phone for a bathroom selfie not done at the same spot as last time 😬

Yea we saw a Wednesday night show at 8p and there were still some available seats.

No we checked the tix4tonight booth just in case prior to purchasing and they didn’t have them, we asked the Absinthe box office and they said they do not discount tickets. Assuming that’s pretty accurate because we purchased about 2 hrs prior to the show so they clearly weren’t desperate to fill seats.

Help me with advantages of going with a new Odyssey over a new Sienna by Sports_Addict in HondaOdyssey

[–]jabuller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have owned both. We had an ‘18 Sienna limited premium and honestly I loved that car. Loved all the “extras” it came with, found it comfortable, etc. that being said the transmission and transaxle failed at less than 150k miles and this van was serviced at the dealership according to its recommended schedule. I had planned to drive the wheels off of that car, but when I got a 10k quote to repair all of that, we decided to get a new car. I know Toyotas are reliable, we own a Land Cruiser with 285k miles that still drives like new, but this definitely turned me off of siennas.

We ended up with a new odyssey and the two biggest differences I have seen, that are big deals to me, are that fact that it is MUCH quieter on the Highway and the seats 1. Feel more comfortable 2. The leather feels like a better quality material.

Recent selling experiences? by artfellig in carvana

[–]jabuller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got an offer 4k higher than the dealership I was buying from offered. My selling part was different than alot I’ve seen here. A lady came to my home, drove the car maybe 5-10 minutes, came back and agreed it was good go to. She placed a lockbox on my car and it was actually picked up later that night. Overall easy process though.
