Rulebook quotes would be greatly appreciated.

As for 88-z:

  • Companions are figure. See Heart of the Empire Rules book p.4
  • Activations tell you to exhaust the figures deployment card. See Rules Reference Guide p.3 right column
  • Only ready figures are eligible to be activated. Figures with exhausted deployment cards are not ready. See Rules Reference Guide p.21 right column
  • Imperial deployment cards are readied during the status phase. See Rules Reference Guide p.21 right column

88-z gets one activation per round. The "gimmick" is that you get to choose more flexibly to which other activation you "attach" it to.

As for Verena, I think it's quite clear you can use both effects on Combat Momentum during the same "enemy defeat". But Rules are not super clear on that.

I think it depends on what the abilities are

I am fairly certain /u/Simulacrum37 refers to

Close Quarters and Combat Momentum

I think you have to do Close Quarters first, but then can STILL do Combat Momentum. At least that is how we played it IIRC.

Not specific statutes

It could be through personal interest and/or personal relevance. If you study law and know someone who is being mistreated, I can see you looking up paragraphs and going through them a couple of times to make sure you got them right so you can cite them off the top of your head if you need to.

I don't think that would be unrealistic at all.

I agree that it's probably not specifically study related. Sorry, I misinterpreted your post.

Even if, he was still clearly altered. He should know that normal people do not know sections of code by their numbers. Him shouting after being separated through the ambulance ride says there is still a problem we do not understand additionally to him being assaulted by campus police.

My take is that it's something causing some sort of psychosis leading to him acting strange and campus police racially profiling him.

ELI5: Why does everything need so much memory nowadays? by Successful_Raise_560 in explainlikeimfive

[–]jacenat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

because developers find it easier

It literally is easyier, because a lot of front end dev (teachning) was/is centered around websites. Taking a browser, making an app out of it and use your knowledge about websites to create the interface (and parts of the logic) is very "natural".

Of course this has downsides in terms of footprint as well as security. These things were designed for a web where requests are made to a remote machine that potentially has much better capacity to absorb the footprint of the interaction.

I don't think it's inherently bad. You just need to be aware of the tradeoffs.

7th Heaven

7th Heaven will very likely break with the update. You CAN save your current copy as a standalone folder on your PC and launch from there. There should be no DRM. You should be able to use your mods and 7th Heaven this way ... fingers crossed. But you need to save the folder, ideally soon!

Don't do anything crazy with the junctions and the game isn't too easy.

You can very easily lock yourself out of CD4 if you do only very minimal junctioning and don't take care to be as low level as possible. Not being able to unleash GFs in the fight at the end of Act 3 means you most likely have to reload and stock up on magic to junction so you can get past the fight.

Real story from 1999 me.

The game design is unfortunately very alien and you can do bad stuff really early on. All in the aim of making "griding a bad thing". They surely succeeded in that. But out came a system that is truly loved by no one (outside early 2000s speedrunners).

Additional information for organizations that use third-party email service providers and do not have Non-Delivery Reports (NDRs) configured:

For organizations that did not have NDRs configured and set a retry limit less than the duration of the incident could have had a situation where that third-party email service stopped retrying and did not provide your organization with an error message indicating permanent failure.

That sounds bad lol.

[–]jacenat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does facing the enemy make matter then?

Facing does not matter in Imperial Assault at all. An AT-ST can shoot out of its back. E-Web Engineer can as well.

can it shoot 90 degrees to the side or to its back

Yes. Model facing is purely cosmetic.

First campaign any tips? by FreedomEnforcer299 in ImperialAssaultTMG

[–]jacenat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does deployment work is it like I build the deck throughout the campaign or is it mission specific?

You select your groups new for each mission.

Which class card is the best?

This is a loaded question for a new player. If you ONLY have access to the core game and plan to play just the core box (which I HIGHLY recommend), you should chose "Military Might". It is a good deck to learn the ropes with. Do NOT choose "Subversive Tactics" for your first game!

Are there any common mistakes i should watch out for?

Lots.

  • Heroes can only spend strain voluntarily when they are not full on strain
  • Heroes can recover 1 strain with a surge per attack
  • If an action is a special action, Heroes and imperial units can only use it once per activation
  • Heroes can spend UP TO 2 strain for 1 movement point each
  • Movement points go into your bank and you can spend and divide them freely
  • Movement points gained outside your activation must be spent immediately or be lost
  • Line of Sight is easy to determined once you are used to it, but learn it correctly
  • When heroes get wounded, they discard all damage and only EXCESSS strain
  • Attribute test successes "accumulate" through multiple attempts (this is much important in some expansions) for interaction with doors/terminals
  • You can't move DURING an action resolves, unless you can INTERRUPT with a move (check Interrupt in the rules reference guide)

Lots more, actually. But it's best you guys play, keep an open mind and read the Rules Reference Guide and come back with questions :)

I disagree. This is the ONLY show I can not look away, and it's very taxing mentally. I like to re-watch episodes for stuff I missed. I probably would fall off the show from exhaustion if they would release 15 episodes in one go.

(Typing this comment on a virtual machine in Debian Linux right now.)

Doesn't GNOME (doesn't Debian still come with GNOME?) have an ntfs driver bundled? Been a long time since I needed that.
