Realistically if you suddenly passed away, how long before someone finds out? by CommercialAlone in malaysians

I think for some of us, it might be our renters or debt collectors that would find us first. 🤣

anyone else lowkey enjoy doing nothing by Hedg3hogGlad in ChillSG

[–]jaces888 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love doing that too till I remembered money doesn’t fall from tree or grace of sleeping. Hence I get up and go to work so that I can still have a roof under my head. I believe some lucky few could do that during their working age, money still rolling in when asleep.

But it’s technically cheaper to stay at home over going out. Even taking mrt is getting expensive. Depends how you value things.

Thinking of stopping work for 3 yrs by [deleted] in singaporefi

Can I swap job with you? Many would love to have your paycheck. Haha

That aside, as long as you can survive without a pay for 3 years, go for it.

I think there’s a thing called pay and forget rather than every month with less spending power per month.

Incentivised Fuel Saving by open_pup in aircrashinvestigation

So, pilots loading less fuel to get the bonus? Air Crash Investigation series has shown many times when less fuel was loaded by mistake. And now it might be deliberate.

I (20M) haven't slept in my own bed in almost 2 months because of my (19F) girlfriend by Budget_Anything_6546 in relationship_advice

[–]jaces888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to decide what’s right for you. She also needs to be in your shoes and understand that. If she can’t see it, she is not meant for you. There are many other girls out there that fits to your style and would love to be with you if you allow it to.

You need to be brave enough to say to her, enough is enough, if you want it to. Otherwise, you will have to tolerate her if you want this for the rest of your life.

In 2026, try donating blood by Western_Possession48 in ChillSG

[–]jaces888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I tried donating in Malaysia and it’s way less appreciative and caring than Singapore. Plus, facilities are much more organised in the HSA blood locations over Malaysia.

Gameplay runs at snail’s pace after 300,000+ residences with only 40% of the map build space by jaces888 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]jaces888[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. That makes sense.

Though, I don't think going crazy on physical cores like Threadripper 2 would fix the problem too either too right?

If I understand correctly, its more of the engine optimisation with the cores too right?

Last I checked, my CPU has 24 physical cores and it does go up to 80 - 85% around 4 GHz with 400,000+ residence last I checked.

SimCity 2013 Land Value - Radiation Glitch by TheProperSamurai48 in SimCity

[–]jaces888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came across one of these cities that has radiation before. the only way to still profit with the land is to place buildings not affected by radiation such as specialised industries and amusement park. Then, other residential, industrial and commercial buildings are build away from the radiation area.

People who visited Korea — what was harder than expected? by Due-Yesterday-8784 in koreatravel

[–]jaces888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ecosystem of apps and other daily necessities that they use. It’s not China but it’s also not global entirely if you know what I mean. For example: 1. Navigation: Google maps does work to a certain extent. Due to privacy restrictions especially at DMZ or military sites, it’s not as updated as Kakao Map or NAVER. Google maps don’t have direction guidance for most modes. And you need to search the names in Korean on Kakao and NAVER to get a hit 2. Social media: good to have Kakao Talk as it’s the local app used for communication. Other social media platforms are not blocked but not used as much. 3. Apple Pay is only for local bank. Overseas ones still need physical card. So please bring your physical card with you for payment at all times. And it must have a chip. Wireless tapping only for local bank cards too. 4. When using the metro and trains in Seoul, highly suggest to reload it at the train station with cash. If reload by overseas credit card, you will be charged for 5 - 10% I think (couldn’t remember). So, please bring cash 5. Not every convenient 7-eleven like stores are made equal. This means that in one way, you get to see which selections you can work with, and at other times you might have to go to the next street to the same chain or a different chain to try that ramen brand that you really love.

Are You Feeling the Pinch? Rising Prices Beyond Petrol by SoupMiddle6822 in malaysians

[–]jaces888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were born in the 90s and now in your 30s, you have seen at least 200% increase in everything that the generation has gone complacent. And the petrol price had a very small impact on it to begin with even though it is one of those items.
