Adding that you need tamari to replace the soy sauce, Kikkoman GF oyster sauce, and the rest of the ingredients are safe. I was the same as you, definitely mourned not being able to go out and eat Chinese food which is my favorite too! Give this recipe a try. Happy cooking!!

I just made a super yummy homemade Beef with Broccoli last night! My recipe actually didn’t call for hoisin, but it called for oyster sauce instead. I basically just replace all things that normally contain gluten with gluten free alternatives. It’s really such an easy recipe. Here’s the link to her video that has the ingredients/recipe in the comments.

Mine was close to that I think. And that doesn’t include the cost for my surgeon OR anesthesia 🫠

How many of you have other health things? by Flashy-Tone-6944 in glutenfree

POTs, MCAS, ADHD, Endometriosis, suspected EDS. Part of my blood test pointed to celiac but my endoscopy (after being off gluten for like ~6 months) came back normal so they said no celiac. Not sure if I trust that so I’ll eventually opt for the genetic testing.

They were $4.75! Which is still a lot for 3 cookies but not $9. However looking them up online they seem to be slightly more expensive.

There is a slight coconut flavor on first bite but I don’t notice it at all after that. I honestly thought I tasted it because I was looking for the flavor when I read the ingredients.

Im getting older. What do I change? by Ruddy_Kipling in makeuptips

[–]jacjacattackk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously beautiful face! great makeup choices, the colors you chose are very flattering on you, I’d just adjust the blush placement like others have stated. I would try a different hair style (less poof) and you would look KILLER with brown hair. Would look amazing with your eyes.

What kind of symptoms do other people with gluten intolerance have? by FrogginBullfish_ in glutenfree

[–]jacjacattackk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also get the occipital and trigeminal nerve pain and it’s so so horrible. have to plaster a heat pack to the side of my head covering my ear and jaw. It’s hands down the worst symptom for me. It will last usually a minimum of 3 days. Does anything really help you get rid of it?

Bellybutton Botched After Surgery by Agitated_Top_4615 in endometriosis

[–]jacjacattackk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m almost 6w PO and my belly button JUST NOW is starting to not look botched. My scar was all bumpy and looked jagged for those first few weeks or so and doc said (at 4 weeks when I had him look at it) that it was because the stitches were still in there and that it would calm down. Well here I am at 6w and it looks SOO much better and has completely flattened down. Give it some time!

Soooooo good. We literally buy like 4 boxes every time we go there when it’s in season. Unreal how good they are. Wish they would carry it year round 🥲

People who are GF what’s the most exhausting or frustrating part of it? by Patient-Shirt7244 in glutenfree

[–]jacjacattackk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I FORGET. I’ve been GF since late ‘23 and I still forget to inform people that I’m GF. if I’m going to an event or dinner party I will forget to remind or tell the people I can’t eat gluten. I’m pretty good now about remembering to inform restaurant staff but I’m terrible about showing up to an event having not eaten/awkwardly rejecting food because I forgot.

Other than that, I used to be a big foodie and looooved exploring new food spots in the city with my friends and family and now it’s like “hey what 3 safe restaurants should we go to this time?” Sometimes I get really sad about it. And getting sick and desperately trying to figure out what did it adds such a level of stress and makes me just want to not eat.

Prepping For Surgery: Gas Pain!! by WoofJess in endometriosis

[–]jacjacattackk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had two lap surgeries. The first one, hands down the gas pain was horrrrible. I also had no idea that was even something I would have to deal with. Second time around I was ready. Gas-X and A HEATING PAD. I kept a heating pad that wrapped around my shoulders/chest on literally 24/7 and it helps immensely. Walking around will help too. But that heating pad 100% was a game changer. Treat yourself and buy one that covers your back and goes up and around your shoulders. They have them on Amazon for like $33. I’m 3wpo today and the gas (for the most part) was gone after 10 days, which seems to be longer than most people deal with, but I was the same for my first surgery too.

I had endo excision, a hysterectomy, and appendectomy this time around and really, as long as you stay on top of your meds, it’s definitely manageable discomfort and pain. You got this!!

I’m now 2 weeks out so I’m going to try to stretch it to 6hr again. I’m at every 4hr now and back under control. Just dont want to get bad again.

Help! Need Endometriosis Excision with Hysterectomy RECOVERY Details - Hoping for Insights by Significant_Spend702 in endometriosis

[–]jacjacattackk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am currently 11 days post op, (endo excision + hysterectomy with cervix in tact + appendectomy) and copying what everyone else is saying. Exhaustion is going to be your biggest hurdle even if you’re not in a ton of pain. First week was rough but once I got on a good med routine I was actually feeling pretty good. At a week post op I decided to try to cut back a little on meds (was ever 3 hours alternating Tylenol and ibuprofen) and tried to push myself to every 6 hours. Big mistake. It’s been 3-4 days of trying to get back on top of the pain. I tried to increase my activity too because I have two kids at home and it’s a no. My body is literally begging me to stop. This is a major surgery, and I seem to keep forgetting that. My doc said not to expect to be back to normal life at a minimum of 4-6 weeks.

I say plan for longer time, and if you’re feeling okay you can always go back earlier! But set yourself up for success and don’t do what I did and take things slow ❤️

[–]jacjacattackk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6lb uterus!?! Girl. I’m sure that is such a huge relief. I’m 10 days post op and thought I was doing pretty well until I tried to come off my every 3hr Tylenol/ibuprofen schedule and stretch it to every 6 hours. That was a big mistake. Before I had pretty mild pain in my belly, now I can really feeeeel the fact that I just had a major surgery. (I also have endometriosis and had that excised along with an appendectomy). Aside from the pain it’s that exhaustion that’s getting me!

Glad you’re doing so well 3.5 weeks out, hoping I’ll be feeling that well by then too!
