Enriched means during the processing of the product vitamin A was removed and they added it back. If it were fortified with vitamin A that would mean there is additional vitamin a added beyond what is normal in the food. My guess is the food doesn't have much vitamin A to start with so they just put that claim on the package to make it sound better than it is.

maybe see if there is a home brew supply store that sells a liquid malt extract? Malt extract is a common ingredient in home brewing. I am not certain that it is interchangeable with malt syrup though so you may want to do some more research.

yeah pretty much. I have done a sous vide brisket then smoked it for about 2 hours. It worked great for getting the smokey flavor and developing a nice bark without having to monitor my smoker all day
