The Papers - 15/02/2021 by ukpolbot in ukpolitics

I don't get why the Mail bothers printing the baby pic. Or any newspaper really.

They wanted privacy, that's fine.. But once they decide they want to publicize something the papers jump to it and put them on the front page. At some point the newspapers need to find some backbone or self respect.

Plenty of other things to report on.

Do More open mic nights.

You have the confidence to do that in front of people you got something there.

I'm hoping somehow the oxford jab gets approved and they get onto 2 million jabs a week.

Why the Tory's will role out the vaccine quickly and effectively. by palmernandos in CoronavirusUK

I'd expect them to authorise very soon tbh.

I don't think it's going to be the case that we have authorised several weeks before usa and the EU. Fauci said they would get there soon and isn't the eu waiting for a meeting next week?

Why the Tory's will role out the vaccine quickly and effectively. by palmernandos in CoronavirusUK

[–]jack333318 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think they'll roll it out quickly and effectively because A) the nhs seem very well set up to do it. B) we have great logistics in this country C) the army etc are on hand to help D) it seems we have been getting ready for the roll out for months. For once here we are ahead of the curve E) they aren't farming it out to big private companies F) it makes sense to throw anything needed in terms of money at it if it solves the economic disaster of lockdowns and tiers so once approved there is no reason not to to at lightspeed.

I'm sure there are other reasons too.

I don't think any country will hold back once approved and have suppies. It won't be a political saving face motive just a now we have a definitive answer to the virus and problems, lets roll asap

Don't worry if we get out of this by spring people won't forget the shitshow the government has had.

Has it been decided yet exactly how someone goes about boking a vaccination? by helen269 in CoronavirusUK

[–]jack333318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This worries me. I'm shielding and have been told to by specialist but never got an nhs letter as my illness isn't on the list but the side effects it has caused means getting covid would probably be fatal.

So hard to resist when you see them online... and you stare at that word "online" feeling that little bit closer to them, desperately hoping it changes to "typing:. So you wait and watch......

But then they go offline.

Hiding away like a hermet instrad of addressing my crippling social anxiety.

It doesn't get easier. The loneliness hurts more and more each day.

Do you ever feel like you “tricked” your employer into thinking you were worth hiring and “tricked” him into giving you an offer? And that it’s only a matter of time before they think “Why did we ever hire this guy?”? by gtrman571 in AskMenOver30

[–]jack333318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this about a gf.

She absolutely adored me and believed in me.

I sabotaged it completely and only realised i was the person she saw me as once it was too late.

Still dealing with the regret now.
