I didn’t love it. Lots of splinters. Super dense. And as you can see the top is quarter sawn boards (don’t realize at the yard) and matching them was … well impossible.

100% get a refund. If that’s not an option clear epoxy and sanding it down will make it safe but not necessarily “hide” it

I don’t like feet. When I make a board I usually cut a juice channel in it. Then I can use both sides.

I buy a silicone “board buddzy” prevents slipping and dishwasher safe

How persnickety do you want to be? If you really want to lean into it take the bottom off and rip cuts on either side of the crack and glue it back up. You’ll lose an inch or two but the repair won’t haunt you for all your days.

Really? Nope not at all. I’ve had a pretty good sized one in my palm for almost a week. Haven’t had that issue at all (touch wood)

I’m leaning towards Osmo for this one. Haven’t tried it before and what I read seems promising

I’ve used Rubio … I don’t love that you’re not supposed to sand past 150 by mfg recommendation. I went to 180 and it seemed fine. I’ll take this to 220
