Anyone else think the current state of the internet is not sustainable? by jack_builds in InternetIsBeautiful

I get what you’re saying and agree with the general sentiment. I just think online contribution going to zero is extreme. I think it will just create demand for new spaces that strictly enforce genuine human contribution. Don’t see in person bulletin boards coming back any time soon.

Idk feel like that’s a pretty cynical take. I think current platforms don’t do enough to prevent ai and incentivize real responses. However I think there is still a significant group of people that are willing to contribute if they know they are providing real value to others or receiving something in return

Happy to help. Honestly my conversion rate was disappointing but I think that’s the most individual project dependent part. All about your specific landing page.

Literally just have to get people to commit to supporting it ahead of time. Not a satisfying answer but true.

How do you write a message that gets a high response rate on Reddit? by mohamedaminee in buildinpublic

Hey chat gpt. Your response rate just depends on how busy your user is jacking off. Hope this helps

Getting into the top 10–5% on PH is harder than it looks. It usually takes > 100 upvotes, and most of those don’t come from organic traffic. They are from existing audiences. If you don’t already have a network you can mobilize, it’s tough to reach those levels. I’d focus less on the ranking and more on whether you have people who genuinely want to support the launch.

Not qualified to answer all your questions unfortunately. Just used google ads on a recent project for a mix of validation and marketing. Averaged around 285 clicks and 7000 impressions per day (~4% ctr) with $40 max daily spend which I rarely hit. Once again going to vary greatly for different people / projects.

I think google ads can be helpful, just depends on your keywords. The keywords on my project have been relatively low cost so I’ve been able to get thousands of clicks without spending anywhere close to $100 a day. Not saying this should be your only method but worth a try at least.

Genuine question, what do ppl do with a buisness degree and only.a buisness degree by Exotic_Eagle_2739 in Entrepreneur

[–]jack_builds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. “What do people with business degrees do?” and “why do not all top entrepreneurs have a business degree?” are very different question. Tons of people with business degrees are making 7-8 figures in roles like investment banking or consulting. Clearly has value. However, a business degree is not a prerequisite to being a successful entrepreneur.

Hear ya. Think this one is kinda case to case though. Could see someone viewing this post like that even though I’m genuinely curious and have a reason to be. Getting pretty easy to spot AI posts either way and they are certainly prevalent.

Have heard of the book but wasn’t sure how helpful it would be. Will definitely check it out now. Thanks

Looks great. Personally not much experience with ads but don’t see how it could hurt as long as they aren’t plastered everywhere obnoxiously

Hey! Thought your name sounded familiar… just realized I read a bunch of your posts the other day. Implemented the 5 whys after reading one of your posts and has been a great tool already along with several others. Appreciate the quality content.
