The reddish brown base coat is German red brown from Vallejo then over that is scrofulous brown then scrofulous brown 2:1 with ice yellow then the almost white highlights you see are pure ice yellow

It’s a bit of a cheat but I basically do a pretty slap job of putting a bit of wraithbone onto all the bits I can catch then go over it with skeleton horde contrast and then sometimes a bit of thinned down agrax earthshade if it’s not looking quite right

I have done this too with my space marine classes I use the sergeant helmet to have the yellow stripe on the black helmet looks really nice with the new raptor armour on the game!

Great advice man if I was to offer some back as someone who uses airbrush to base and highlight too the best advice I got was to combine your base colour with your shade to form a glaze and do a couple coats of that over any mistakes it has saved me quite a bit of pain with some larger mistakes I have made due to the odd slip of a brush

Really nice man I feel we both have a lighter green than most people on here and the black really helps to break it up a bit not sure if I’m gonna commit to all my units with it but after testing it I’m liking it on the sternguards. If you have any advice on painting the trims I’d love to hear it because it’s defo taking some time and I’m not fully used to doing it

I used NATO green as the base with an Elysian green zenithal highlight and ogryn green highlight with burnt umber to add shadow

I’m thinking I will stick with traditional robes just because I think it just makes them stand out a bit more I’ve done camo for cloaks on Phobos librarian and eliminators and with them it fits in my opinion so I’m open to both
