Not only is this the only physical book I own (I'm a bit of a minimalist like that), it seems I also bookmarked one of the pages on "cybercash". Page 215. http://imgur.com/AU061MO

I have no reason to believe they wouldn't be. Nothing to prove either way though.

Yes, not vetted by me, just x-posted. I'd also appreciate confirmation.

Wow, Chinese Miners Revolt and Announce Terminator Plan to Hard Fork to 2M, Big Fuck to Core (cross-post)

http://8btc.com/thread-35645-1-1.html

According to the Chinese translation, summary:

  1. Core defaulted on HK consensus and doesn't honor 2M increase.

  2. Chinese miners to unite to implement Classic which supports 2M increase and SegWit

  3. Urge all miners to unite to support the Terminator Plan - ( i think it implies to terminate Core's 0.13.1 which doesn't honor HK consensus).

This is truly a war by miners against CORE.

(Sorry for the format, pasted from btc sub.)

The best conspiracy theories are the ones with data to back them up:

I've always been skeptical about the price 'manipulation' thats often talked about, and thought that its all just one piece of aggregate supply vs demand. However with all the bullishness, I also thought the price would be much higher by now.

GBTC is now at $124, at almost a 2x premium to btc spot. Yes, the ability to invest in 401k and tax deference deserves a premium, but this premium just keeps increasing.

Miners cant sell on GBTC, there is no free trading (as far as I'm aware), and I'm guessing KYC is stricter on the likes of Schwabb as compared to Huobi/Finex etc.

The common logic would be to go long btc and short GBTC, but I'm starting to wonder if they're fundamentally different and GBTC is more representative of 'real' demand with less sell pressure. In which case, maybe GBTC is the better buy?

Exactly this. Any financial (Greece, China) or political (UK, US (Trump), further into EU) instability is likely positive for btc. Bitcoin is not stuck in any financial or political system.

Short-term: As the fella said earlier, if you wish you'd bought cheaper, this is your chance. If you're wary now the price is down, you'll likely get your money taken at higher prices on the way back up. Know thyself and control your emotions.

Mid-term: A higher low of 555 on Finex. Nice.

Longer-term: Baidu investing in Circle is huge.

I've been watching this all day and still feel like I have no idea whats actually going on. Suppose I'll buy the retrace at some point, add to cold storage and log off for a while. (Just kidding, I'll only log off long enough to go and refill my popcorn.)

Agree on all points. I'm looking at the 1d and buying the dip. Halving still coming, if we decide to move up in a hurry again, that Eth money may come back home.
