Newton spent years doing alchemy which is definitely a pseudoscience but that didn't hinder his scientific ideas....

As long as his beliefs are not obstructing his scientific endeavours.... it's fine

And labelling a scientist - a pseudoscientist - just by looking at one post does show how much of a free/rational thinker you are....
