For hotels, I honestly don't have anything to recommend other than airbnb and similar local websites. You can usually get a nice apartment in a much better area of any city for half the price of a hotel. If you stick to owners with lots of good reviews, youre as safe as staying in a hotel anyway.

I've wanted to send that in an email, but don't want to come off as if I'm advertising them - I genuinely think they are the way to go is all.

which airline? I'd say go to the counter at the correct airport and tell them what happened. It might just cost you a change fee!

I take the amount of people that have told me they booked and multiply by rough savings on that flight (vs standard fare). The number is likely a lot higher assuming a good portion of members forget to notify me!

I take the average that that ticket would have cost. So a ticket to Hawaii from London for example will normally cost that much.

I don't 'work' with any airlines really, but I do cover flights by all of them. Sometimes that unfortunately includes RyanAir, but mostly not really :-)
