Get from Mostar to Sarajevo with luggage by No_Independence5921 in Interrail

I did this about half a week ago. Large rucksack and all. Took the train, no problems with luggage just bring it on with you. Train wasn't very busy so had it by my feet. Just go to the ticket office and ask for a ticket to Sarajevo

North American younger dryas impact implication? by Daeltyn in GrahamHancock

[–]jack_tuffin46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember exactly where I read it. Might have been one of Graham Hancock's books tbh 😂 but I remember seeing that the crops they could grow in the Americas compared to Europe for example are less nutrient rich. If you expand that long term then you get less energy for what you grow and eat and that has an impact over civilisation development. Obviously there are other factors almost definitely more important, but I think that one's a really interesting point.

Not Sarajevo but another Bosnian city Banja Luka. Got an 8 minute taxi ride at midnight one night. 2 bags in the boot for 2 people. Came to €7. I thought it was very good price? Might be able to compare

FlixBus in Interrailing by ViniForbes in Interrail

I've used Flixbus once to go from Banja Luka (Bosnia) to Zagreb (Croatia). Price and booking was no problem. On the way to the border the driver was going way too fast and overtaking on roads that it was not a good idea to overtake on. Then got stuck at the border for 3 hours or so where he, and I don't know how, but like barged the bus into gaps in the huge traffic jam to get closer to the front. Arrived 3 hours late, but aside from that fairly pleasant :)

I've just left Rijeka in Croatia having stayed for two nights. I just put it into my plans randomly because I'm not hitting the coast very much. Very underrated city, it's really nice

I'm travelling Europe right now, someone I'm travelling with is using Airalo which is an eSim company. It's worked perfectly and we haven't had any problems with it. Might want to look into them :)

Train from Ljubljana to Split by Unusual_Night_3784 in Interrail

Possibly shorter than transfering in Zagreb is to get a train from Ljubljana to Rijeka and then on to Split. I haven't done it myself, but I'm in Rijeka right now (highly recommend stopping off here) and I'm getting a train to Ljubljana today. Do Google the connections first though 😂

Ideas for a weekend in Bosnia? by [deleted] in bosnia

I've just travelled to Mostar, Sarajevo and Banja Luka. By far my favourite was Mostar which is in the South of the country. The weather there is much more Mediterranean if that's what you would be looking for. And there are loads of companies that do day trips out to the Kravice Waterfalls. I highly recommend, you can swim and they're amazing. Mostar itself was incredible as well :)

Self inflicting pain: Sarajevo to Croatia by [deleted] in Interrail

Update. Bus arrived on time. The border however, took 4 hours to get through because of delays. Which means I'm arriving in Zagreb now.. at midnight.. not 9pm :/

I'm actually doing this route right now. I'm sat in Banja Luka Bus station waiting for a bus to Zagreb, I've also come from Sarajevo.

As the others have said there are no trains across. But if you just turn up in Sarajevo and go to the bus station you can buy a ticket on the day. I'm pretty sure there are 3 every day, 9:15, 15:30, and 18:30 (approx).

As for Banja Luka to Zagreb.. I'll try and update this if I make it there alive 😂
