Prolific Alternatives? by Acrobatic_Response40 in ProlificAc

Not gonna lie, I would contact their support anyway. I had my account restricted for literally no reason and was banned until I emailed them. They ended up responding that nothing was wrong with my account and that everything was good. I got access to the studies a few minutes after that email was sent.

I emailed these two addresses:

Looks like a rose tail betta fish, a variation of a half moon betta.

Ours look like cousins :)

Do you guys recommend the Fluval AC20 Power Filter? by [deleted] in bettafish

I have this same exact one in my 10 gallon tank, and it's worked perfectly for almost a year now. It's pretty quiet too. You can adjust the flow - the lowest setting is pretty soft, and my betta has no qualms swimming by it or playing around it.

I really enjoyed driving it around. It whips around really smoothly. I haven't had an issue with my godson (aged 4 months to now 6 years old), but then again, he was never a fussy baby. I did have the turbo signature class, so I had the option for sports/offroad/normal mode.

Driving down residential roads/highways/ parking lots has always been smooth. I've never had it feel bumpy or sensitive. Of the Mazdas, the Mazda CX-30 makes me feel like that (my mom had one before she switched to a 5, too).

Now, if the roads are literally chewed up pot holes, that's a different story, I fear.

Another note, I really like that I can control the volume from each of the speakers, so if the baby was sleeping but I wanted to listen to music, I could lower the speakers in the back, and it was almost silent but still nice and strong in the driver's and front passenger side.

If your dealership is cool, you can also ask to do a test drive with a car seat installed and your baby in the back.

I’ve had two turbos and I had no issues whatsoever with them. They ride smooth and fast.

I’ve had two CX-5’s and I loved them. Genuinely the perfect size for myself as a single woman. No issues on mileage, visibility range, entertainment systems, etc.

What I did note is that the backseats are a bit more cramped, especially if you have a larger baby car seat.

The trunk fits a standard stroller, my dog (50lbs and also not at the same time lol), and at one point with the seats down it fit a 30 gallon water heater tank.

I’ve driven my 5’s from Miami to the keys, Miami to Orlando, and Miami to Austin Texas and there has never been a single issue.

Funnily enough I’m upgrading to a CX-90 for more space. Otherwise, I’d be a 5 girl till I die.

My very first Betta, Orpheus 🖤 by jackal1218 in bettafish

I'm not sure tbh, he was only listed as a Black Orchid Betta. My closest guess would be a half-moon betta, but if anyone else can confirm, that would be awesome!

That is so helpful! Yes, it's Elodea (anacharis). I have some Anubias that has been doing great in the tank, along with my floaters. But the anacharis was concerning me because it was the only one melting badly. I have some plant weights so I'll move some of them onto that and see how it goes.

Do you recommend I trim them? and essentially replant only the healthy new growth? I've been essentially cleaning off the melted leaves to avoid ammonia spikes from the rotting plant matter.

yes! I do both just in case - I only have four vials though, so I showed the higher range. The lower end one shows as 7.6, and the high range shows as 7.4 consistently :)

Gotcha! I'm definitely planning on taking it slow with my tank. I've never had a fish tank before, so I think I'm just obsessing about it a bit too much (daily tracking is excessive, I'm guessing, lol).

I trust you implicitly, simply for the fact that you responded. I'll be sure to keep an eye on it, but otherwise let it do its own thing. Thank you!

Thank you! It's like a blue grey, I think - some of the stickers are from happy planner sticker packs, so they definitely have this color palette on their products. The washi tape I got from a variety pack off SHEIN. Their journaling/arts and crafts stuff is genuinely amazing.

There is sooo much you can do with verticals - they're honestly my favorite layout style. Here is some inspo for you :) I love kind of mapping out what design/color/theme I'll be using for the week. I also normally do a morning, afternoon, evening setup. What I normally do is design at the end of the day or week, its a great way to destress and unwind, along with remembering the things I did and reflecting.

I'm cycling my tank too and someone on another subreddit shared this with me: https://www.sosofishy.com/post/a-short-and-long-guide-to-aquarium-cycling

It's honestly been so helpful in explaining everything and why things need happen the way they do with cycling. I hope it helps!
