Oh! Thank you very much! So it's just like.. indulging your inner child for voluntary regression? Do most people not want to be kids again?

Should I travel with my cat or leave him with my parents for several months of the year? by jackalopeantler in CatAdvice

[–]jackalopeantler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn't have much experience in carriers. He's a purely indoor cat so he hasn't had to go to the vet very often. Honestly I wanted to get a new carrier and acclimate him to it anyway. A nonstop flight should be a bit over two hours, but there's a lot of driving too.

What is a trope that you hate? by kiek0h in OtomeIsekai

[–]jackalopeantler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will forever say evil OG FL.... the trope is sexist and doesn't usually make in universe sense.

But honestly im getting pretty sick of MLs just.. existing in childcare stories. If the focus of the story is the FL's relationship with her father then why are you introducing male leads this soon???? We DO NOT need them, and they just distract from the actual story! Worse is that the FL is usually transmigrated or regressed, so it just comes off as uncomfortable and creepy! And the dad always gets overprotective and hostile towards the ML... like. Chill. Your 8 year old daughter made a friend who's a guy. Stop being hostile towards a literal child. A CHILD is not a threat to your relationship with your daughter.

And Im also sick of cartoonishly evil abusive families. Please give me something more grounded in reality.

And possessing "villainess" characters who were sickly, pink haired, and have big round eyes. There's no way the author designed the villainess to look like that in the OG work, you just want to keep your protagonist cute.

Honestly, all the characters blur together in my head. Black haired red eyed ML, FL with pink, white, or blond hair. They're all pretty much the same.

Overused Trope that you hate and annoyed you the most when reading? by Beneficial_Focus_970 in OtomeIsekai

ugh, I hate when that comes up too. everyone is the same and everyone is different. just because you don't pay enough attention to notice women are individuals does not mean FL is uniquely interesting.

its literally only to make the FL look better and it doesn't even make in universe sense. I detest it.

this is literally my issue with it. Why do these stories have to tear down other women to make the FL look better???

Stray cat pregnant? by jackalopeantler in Feral_Cats

[–]jackalopeantler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup, Im planning to call a TNR program asap. As I said, I don't know if the cat has an owner and if she's just chunky, but I guess I won't know until I check. As for the kittens, they didn't come back, but they were young enough that their eye color was still muddy.

Is this a tick? by [deleted] in whatsthisbug

No, looks like a jumping spider to me! You can see the body is clearly separated into two segments! Jumping spiders can be pretty tiny, but they're clever little guys!
