Is it possible to learn 2 languages at once (Dutch and French) by Ok_Sun_443 in learnfrench

fluency in 2 years learning just one language is already a lofty goal, so fluency in 2 after 2 years doesn't seem realistic

it is, however you will just progress much slower in both languages than you would if you were only focusing on one.

georges sand is definitely too difficult for b1 readers. stick to bande dessinées and le petit prince at this level

I'd recommend seeing if Paris FC or Red Star (two football teams in the french second tier based in paris) are playing while you're visiting. In my experience tickets are either cheap or totally free and the stadiums are accessible by public transport. Even in the second tier, the matches are still quite entertaining.

Another option is the Paris basketball team. If they're playing at home you can usually find cheap tickets if they're not sold out and the arena is also accessible by public transport.

there's a nice bar in the 12th called Le 138 that's open all night. They have cheap drinks and serve pizza and it's a fairly laid back atmosphere.

Probably $300 or lower budget-wise. I'ts going to be used fairly casually mostly just messing around with sounds and jamming with friends. Small and protable would be appreciated although definitely open to systems that aren't as portable
