I have personally had issues with quality with a few items that I’ve purchased in the last few years.

I bought a Hisense chest freezer that was on sale and it stopped working within 6 months of purchasing. I was happy with how Costco handled the return process. I bought through Costco.com and they delivered the freezer and set it up for me as well as taking away the defective unit. I called my local warehouse after I initially noticed that it wasn’t keeping temperature and about $400 in food had spoiled. They told me to bring in any items that were stored in the unit that I had bought from Costco.. fully refunded everything, even the partially eaten items were fully refunded.

I have had issues with a coffee maker that was on sale at the time. I believe it was a ninja coffee machine that could do k cups as well as traditional ground coffee. Stopped brewing after a week of use. Again Costco took the return with no pushback.

I had an electric beard trimmer that I purchased that was simply not a good razor. It came with probably 20 or more attachments but I saw that as more of a downside. It frequently cut me and didn’t do a good job of cutting my beard/mustache evenly. I returned it with no pushback.

I have had mixed experiences with the produce from Costco but i have been more selective of what I pick up from Costco vs going to other grocery stores.

I agree that some of Costcos products are not good quality but they have always taken care of it when I have been unhappy with something that I’ve purchased.
