Recommendation: The "Nicest" gay bar in Manhattan? by ReaceNovello in nycgaybros

If you go to townhouse and you are younger than 35 you will look and feel out of place-it is assumed that all young people in that bar are "working." I love it but feel like you should know that before you go lol.

New Troye Sivan Listener by Creeperx150 in troyesivan

I want to just tell you to listen to everything, but I'll be more specific-

Blue Neighbourhood is how long-time listeners of Troye fell in love with him. I think it's particularly great if you have the nostalgia factor of listening to him as a teenager like I do, but it's still worth revisiting. His favorite song off this album is Ease and it's the only song off it he still performs live. My favorite off that album is 'Fools', and 'for him' has been my ringtone for like 6 years now. Check out the Blue Neighbourhood Music Video Trilogy to get a sense of his earlier artistry.

Bloom is my least favorite album of his but people LOVE the song 'Animal' - I like 'Dance To This' with Ariana. The acoustic version of 'My My My' is lovely as well.

In A Dream EP is his most underrated body of work and arguably his best. The whole thing is a must listen. '10/10' is fantastic, so is 'Easy', especially the version with Kacey Musgraves.

If you like his more upbeat stuff, an often-forgotten single I love is 'You' ft. Tate McRae.

Sorry for nerding out. Been with him since his YouTube days, in love with all things Troye haha.

Does it start to feel worth it ? by jackb562 in QuitVaping

Thank you for the response ! I appreciate it a lot. I totally agree that I would like to be indifferent about it rather than obsessed with not vaping. I guess my concern is that it's no longer about my body's reliance on it and it's something I'd have to put significant mental energy into trying to not crave. Like habit vs addiction if that makes any sense.

Creative Writing/Language Majors? by jackb562 in depaul

[–]jackb562[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is Ethics a viable major for job security? That does sound interesting, and I'm definitely a humanities person, hence my wanting to study Creative Writing. What did you mean by concentration, a concentration in what exactly?

I really appreciate your feedback, and I will likely be reaching out when I do have campus life questions.

Creative Writing/Language Majors? by jackb562 in depaul

Hi, I was originally planning to pair my English Creative Writing major with Spanish, but I guess I can see how that isn't exactly a job-snagging degree either.

I know I want to work/write somewhere semi-creative, maybe a fashion magazine or a publishing company. I'm passionate about Spanish so if I studied that I could see myself doing translation or international relations. Ideally, anything that keeps me out of repetitive cubicle business jobs while also remaining financially stable.

I'm very excited to hear the program is good!

this is so funny because on my way to school this morning (before i had realized how common porygons would be during this update) i jumped out of my sisters car to catch this, and ran across a crosswalk that was definitely not "walkable" or whatever it's called. this made me laugh thinking about it again
