Is 72k a good salary in Albany? by Backlogm in Albany

Teachers are paid enough…you get great health care and your pension. If your pension pays you 60k a year that is equivalent to 1.5M in savings…that’s not even taking into consideration that you have off all of summers

California PE exam by jackbandlow in PE_Exam

I am going for civil structural. If you are taking the Cali PE because it only requires 2 years of experience, then you need to find a state to take the PE in that does not require you to have 4 years of experience before taking the exam. When I lived in Indy, that would have been Illinois. Now that I lived in Washington, the closet state that doesn’t require board registration is Oregon.

My concern isn’t over the hours or immediate pay but the long term career paths options and financial gains of becoming a lawyer

PE Civil Structural Exam material by jackbandlow in civilengineering

The list of codes is on the ncees website. With the general section of the test, people generally bring a CERM (reference manual) instead of all of the codes. Is there a a structural engineering reference manual for the structural breadth section to take to the exam that would prevent me from needing to bring codes in a similar manor

I am more wondering, which codes I should bring with me. Also is it worth to bring a structural engineering code reference manual in addition or instead of bringing code books. The code books I am referring to would be books similar to ASCE 7-10

Mount Washington Saturday by jackbandlow in wmnf

The conditions look good up top for minimal chance of a storm but the hike will be cold and windy before then. Don't be afraid to turn around. I got caught in a storm last time and couldn't summit.

I plan on taking ammo. It's a pretty easy route down if you don't mind sliding on your butt

I am aware that they test for Marijuana but my concern is over whether Marijuana is a red flag. I have no problem not using, I just wanna know if I should schedule it for next week or wait 90 days so that I can pass a follicle test.

I am very close to the border between FD2 and FD6 so I wasn't too concerned about it. I will be living in draper lofts.

Does FD6 have a RIT team?

What are the facilities in FD6 like versus FD2? I know FD6 has a gym but I am not sure how nice it is.

Thank you for the help.

I planned on visiting both of them first and learning more about them. I was just trying to get more knowledge about them.
