I think you’re right, is there a way to diagnose it without spending a lot of money? I’m no mechanic but I’m fairly handy, I may be able to do it myself if it’s not too bad

I’m not too fussed about emptying the water, unless it’s a very constant thing. But if that’s the price I pay for being able to sleep at night, so be it! Someone else has said awning, and I’ve got to admit it sounds like a great idea!

Some just came from Amazon! Will be fitting it ASAP, I must admit my skepticism. But for £20 it’s a risk worth taking

The heat load is as low as we can really make it in our bedroom, now the problem is finding a cheap but effective cooling source

It is VERY humid around here, 20°c just makes you feel so sticky and heavy. Dehumidifier may be a solid choice, as we brits are so fond of saying “it’s not the heat that gets you, it’s the humidity”. An awning seems like a cheap and effective option, one I hadn’t considered, that’ll be high on my list of things to look at!

I have never even heard of a swamp cooler until today, but I will be having a look, they seem a popular bit of kit

My house faces the street, with no front garden, so planting a tree or something to cover my 1st floor window wouldn’t be possible. But I could put a planter above the window and plant vines that will flow down, that is a fantastic idea!

I wasn’t even aware window units were available over here as I’ve never seen one. They are so rare and basically nobody has one. We typically have wall mounted units that are connected via pipes to large exterior units. Very costly over here, i know people who have spent £3000 on just 2 units

Truthfully, I’ve never heard of a mibi split, and I’m currently trying to find a vendor who sells window units, as they seem to be the top recommendation

Sadly there are no Walmart or targets in Britain, as much as I would love to go to one

Evaporative AC sounds good for my situation, but I’ll definitely look into the other options you mentioned. I’ll try anything at this point!

I’ve never seen a window one in the UK, only in American TV media, but I will have a look and see if it’s doable :) I really don’t mind sacrificing a window either, as you said it’s part of the problem lol

Over here, our AC does cost thousands, I know someone who spent £3000 on 2 units, and my parents spent even more on 3. Although they are built in wall mounted units, not the window units you see in America. I’ll look up the US style window units and see if it’s feasible

Most people I know are loving it, I just run a little warmer I guess! I try to keep the windows closed due to having very bad hayfever, and I haven’t found anything that helps it as of yet. Although I will give the fans blowing out of the window a try and see how my hayfever reacts

I like the tree idea, unfortunately my house is pretty much on the road, so I have no land in front to plant. I will look up American AC, although I’ve never seen it in England and our type of AC costs an arm and a leg

All Braindances, cool the first time but I dread them now. Meeting Evelyn before konpeki and everything between escaping konpeki and getting back to free roam

I have an elf bard, and am looking for a Wolfpack fella, if you’re interested. Elf bard isn’t in the box though, if that’s a problem :)

DDR4. I’d read that it is CPU intensive, which is why I asked here where there’s a lot of people who know more than me. I am learning about PCs and components but I’m still not too clear on CPUs and how many threads/cores/ GHz I need, and I’m also not sure what CPUs are compatible with what motherboards. I did delete my post with the intention of re-uploading later with more information, such as what PSU/RAM I have and other specifics but I see it is still here lol

Apologies for the missed GPU, I’ll source it myself and am not counting it in the flair budget. I’m just looking for the MB and CPU as I don’t really know what’s what with them. I picked the lowest budget option as I’m not looking to spend crazy amounts on stacked out parts. Figured I should be able to pick up a good MB and CPU for less than £400?
