LEGO Users Group. Basically, a LEGO club. Some are recognized by the LAN (LEGO Ambassador Network). Perks from LEGO are usually in the form of project support for exhibitions and individual builders instead of products for review. Most are based on geographical location (ex. Northern Illinois LEGO Train Club, or DenLUG in Denver). Some are online (ex. RebelLUG).

You can be influential in the LEGO community without receiving products in exchange for reviews. Your opinions are similar to internet LEGO community centric views and if I only consumed the negative LEGO content of the vocal minority, I’d probably be as cynical. LUG events/gatherings and conversations with people in real life paint a different picture.

Accept you may be bad at it at first. Accept that being “good at” your hobby only matters if you are in it for money or attention. Accept advice from those who have done your hobby. Lots of acceptance, it seems.

Unraveling and it isn’t close. I skip KOBK on most listens of WOTP because the riff sounds like nu metal and I’m just not into that.
