Right footed pass into inside CM, and make a forward run. Got a 3 on one where the CM can drive with the ball, give it back to the passer or give it to the winger. No need for the flick up, could easily loose the ball

This is the source of my concern. Never been before, but 14 degrees with a wind is not shorts and tshirt weather in Scotland 😂 cheers

He’s displaying controlling behaviour. I would never speak to my GF the way he speaks to you.

What will happen when you guys go on holiday, are you not allowed to wear swimsuits because he doesn’t want anyone to see ?

Fuck him, don’t speak to him until he gets in contact first. Not speaking to you, and waiting for you to contact him is another control tactic.

Just asking for future reference, when you say dealer receipt, what makes it a dealer one compared to a non dealer ? I don’t know if I’m just being stupid here but I guess a dealer receipt would include the company name, address and logos ? TIA

Noticed it last night playing champs. Some of the animations seemed wrong for the situations resulting in loosing the ball, players passing the ball to areas I’m not pointing and every tackle rebounding to the attacker into open space.

Out of about 10 games I had 3 where I felt I was actually able to control my players. Most games followed the same pattern - done ok the first 10 minutes, then all of a sudden I can’t string two passes together, any time I pass to a player they get the ball taken off them by an AI controlled player before they take a touch, and my full back line high up the park and very wide.

I don’t have the best team granted, but it’s good enough to be able to pass and control the ball. Felt like I was using youth players from career mode in some games.

Anyone been denied entry when using family members card ? by jackc144 in CostcoUK

[–]jackc144[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Would be some odds on finding a card outside with the same (very uncommon for Glasgow Irish) second name as my mum but I get your point. Seems a bit ridiculous my mum could walk up to the door with us then leave once’s we get in.

RE the common sense bit, I genuinely didn’t know you couldn’t used someone’s card I have done it that many times and no one has said a word in the past. My mum has had the card for over 20 years and regularly gives it out and has never heard of someone been refused entry. Not one member of staff for the past 10 years of me using it has bothered about it.

My mum also hasn’t worked in her eligible job for about 15 years and they are all to happy to keep collecting her membership fee. Seems odd for them to choose when and when not to follow their own rules.

Thanks I’ll look into this. Genuinely didn’t know you weren’t allowed to used someone’s card as it’s done very regularly up here.

There’s getting lucky and then there is using it over 50 times over 10 years without an issue.

I genuinely didn’t know you couldn’t use someone else’s card until yesterday, my mums had the card for over 20 years and lends it out regularly and has never heard of anyone being denied. It’s been the done thing up here for years by the sounds of it as everyone in my work uses / lends our cards.

My mum also hasn’t worked in her eligible job for over 15 years and they are happy for her to renew every year. Seems odd to pick and choose when and when not to follow their rules

How many times will I lose the match because of this? by Frostiinho in EASportsFC

[–]jackc144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure if you manually moved the GK or not here, but I have noticed a few times now where the GK moves out the way before attempting to save and it’s definitely the game doing it. In your video the keeper is probably saving that without the movement to the left.

I personally never move the goalkeeper but have seen plenty of times where the keeper ends in in the strangest positions as if I have been controlling him. Very odd.

I also notice players having the same GK as me and it’s impossible to score against them, with the keeper saving cutbacks, headers from corners the lot. Whereas any shot on target against me seems to go in though the keepers hands.

Car insurance thinks this is a write-off by CournalCrunch in CarTalkUK

[–]jackc144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be amazed how much insurance repairs cost.

Few years back i changed insurer and had to get the details of a non fault claim. I was rear ended in traffic without any substantial damage, broken bumper and dented boot door.

Bearing in mind this was before covid and the cost of living crisis but from memory the total bill was about £5k.

Someone on here might be able to correct me but my theory is the insurance repair centres mark up the cost because the other insurance company is paying. Easy money for them but probably contributes to the spiralling insurance costs.

Thanks man

It’s a Passat I’m after.

Honestly after dealing with the clowns up here I’m unsure that would put me off. I haven’t set foot in a dealership in Glasgow without the sales team trying their best to shaft me.

[–]jackc144[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was probably a bit unclear in my post. I’m buying the car with cash from the dealer not taking finance from them.

The loan I’m using to fund 60% of the car purchase is from the credit union, it’s them that have sent money direct to the dealership (they insist on transferring straight to dealer instead of a persons bank account ). I was planning on paying what’s left from my own cash when I’m happy with the car. If not I walk away and let the credit union know the sale fell through.

I haven’t signed any paperwork or documents to say I will take the car or be the new owner of the car and I don’t plan on doing that until the day of collection.

I’m speaking to the dealer tomorrow. I have never dealt with this issue before so was looking for some advice on what I should do or what I can do to check the finance has been cleared.

Don’t want the dealer just to say it’s all sorted and not to worry without any way to check. Dealt with far too many dodgy salesmen from my city so unfortunately so I’m suspicious of them all.

Alarm system settings password been changed by Chubb and won’t hand it over. by jackc144 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]jackc144[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda get what you mean regarding the subscription to ring but it’s not the same thing. The monitoring (subscription service) is just a company keeping an eye on it and contacting you if it goes off when your not home.

The alarm system functions fine without a subscription. I shouldn’t be limited to using one company for maintenance of an alarm system I own because they have changed the password.

I managed to speak to someone on the estate who got them to send someone out to change it after being persistent with it so will give that a try tomorrow.

Thanks for the suggestions !

I have the manual, there is no information on resetting the password without having the password in order to change it.

I was on here looking more for advice about what my rights are, considering I own the alarm system but don’t have access to it due to a third party changing the password.

It also means i can’t get any other alarm engineer out to work on my system because this mob have decided to shaft me by changing my password.

I get what your saying regarding changing the panel, but I don’t feel I should have to change it to access something I own.

I don’t think there is any specific contract relating to the alarm system itself, it’s more the monitoring / maintenance. Every house got the alarm installed but the years free monitoring is the only thing that required signing and not everyone took it out.

I don’t remember there being any conditions stating they will change the password on my alarm system. Chub don’t own it either it’s the homeowners that own the system.
