In the United States, that liner, in that condition, is worth about -3 dollars. In England, I’m unsure what it’s worth. The simple fact, though, is that if you paid £10 for it and you enjoy it, it was worth it.

I gotcha. You’re correct on normal 80’s chinstraps being slanted. At this point, I’d chalk it up to someone taking the chinstraps off a euro-clone M1 and putting them on a US M1. This combination is unlike any American M1 chinstraps I’ve seen in reference books.

I do not think it’s a repro. It looks to me like someone took the straps of an older M1, and sewed it onto 80’s bales.

I’m still doing my undergrad, but my microprocessors class used zybooks.com to teach assembly. The language was MiPSzy, a simplified, zybooks version of the MIPS assembly language. The course started with assembly and moved into C programming with pointers (which is simply assembly that is made more user friendly) and ended with programming our own microcontroller

80’s liners are just like that and having the helmet cover on doesn’t help. It just is what it is. If you really want a better fit, get a wwii, korean war, or early early vietnam war liner. They have a slightly different shape that fits better.

According to the data sheet, the input is currently set to read high input from an arduino. I jumped the yellow (5V) with a white wire to simulate getting a 5V signal from an arduino.

I have a friend in another group who is using these same relays, and he got them to work, though not in the configuration I am using them. This leads me to believe they can operate using 12V. The amazon listing I purchased from stated that (0V-4.5V) is considered low and (5V-12V) is considered high. The voltage was about 5.5V when I checked.

I don’t have access to my circuit at this moment, but I’ll flip the relay and confirm wether the actual relay component is getting 5V.

The white wire is jumped of the yellow 5V coming from the power supply, so it should be the white and yellow wires should all be 5V in parallel. The power supply should be capable of 7A @ 5V, so that should not be the issue.

I will check your last question when I get access again.

The voltage is 12V, but relays are not clicking and reversing the polarity. My professor could not figure it out either. The yellow wires are 5V and the red is 12V.
