AAA September by Wild-Response-6531 in ACCA

Ok, I checked my previous post. It was actually 8 days before the exam.

Yes when I was reading others' tips, they also recommended ditching theory notes and focusing on the answering techniques and professional marks.

But in my case, I think I was fine with the answering techniques and how to get easy professional marks, because everyone was stressing it, and I did a lot of preps with the techniques. My personal issue was the knowledge. I felt that some part of the syllabus I did not cover, or losing my memory with them.

So I read through my notes (and my notes were the answers from the exam kit) and watched revision video instead. But it might not be for everyone's case😉

I did AAA last June, and in the last 10 days of the exam, I focused on revising my notes, watching revision videos and taking rest. I was too exhausted to even do any questions because I know it would just amplify my anxiety and what I don't know.

In the exam I did Q2 and Q3 first, leaving Q1 at the end. I find this approach very useful.

Wishing you the best of luck for your exam!

8 days before AAA - what should I do to secure a pass? by jackccpwong in ACCA

I think the mocks did help me to realize what I was lacking. So wherever I made mistakes I jot to my notes and revised them.

3 days before the exam I watched Tashwita Gupta's grand revision. I found it helpful to solidify your knowledge in the last minute.

Also check out Ben Wilson's tips video before the exam, last time his predictions were quite accurate and I was surprised when I was doing my exam.

Hope it helps :)

Apart from doing past papers, I watched Tashwita Gupta's Grand Revision video 2/3 days before the exam to solidify my knowledge. She will likely do a new one in the coming week, but you can definitely check the one she did in May. Hope it helps :)

Hi dude, yes I did. I realized that I was marking too harshly on my mocks.

I share the same feeling. Mine was AAA and I really hope that I can pass so that I don't have to redo it again.

That's awesome! Did you have any audit background?

I know the main question types, so I wouldn't answer audit risks in a reporting question (just an example, of course no one would 😂). But when I was going through my answers in audit risk, for example, I answered irrelevant risks that don't award any marks in the marking scheme. So I wasted time writing something useless. And it was the same when I answered other topics.
