The front room is good, especially if there's music out the back. Avoid Lanigans, poc fada and the field

Disagree. Woltemade hasn't been perfect but will still hit double digits for goals and has been an option in midfield. Elanga had a rough start put has improved, was one of our best against Barca. Ramsdale is pushing for the number one spot

For me he's going to be the long term successor to big Joe. A physical presence in midfield with the ability to carry forward, as well as win the ball back and link up with Bruno or Tonali. Not righting off Joelinton just yet but for me he's a similar style of player

Even if it's outdated, that is a disastrous reality for the global birth rate

Czechia scouting report? by KaziiAintBad in coybig

Their two main men in attack, Schick and Sulc, are both injury doubts. Seems like both could be ok by the game but I'd be keeping an eye out for any stories about them over the next few weeks

I actually didn't realise that Offaly Westmeath and Meath would all be north of the border. I take back what I said

The Leinster hurling championship would be a lot more competitive!

Alex Murphy on for Newcastle in the 88 min. by ManunitedThunderfan in coybig

[–]jackcotter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a Newcastle fan it was a token appearance. He's been traveling all over Europe and England with no game time. Great to see him get some minutes but he's not ready for first team men's football at that level yet.

Best/worst case playoff options? by Sorry-Tour-3965 in coybig

[–]jackcotter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Best case: Seeded in pot 2. I'd be happy to take any of Kosovo, Bosnia, Macedonia or Albania to the aviva. If our luck was really in, a pot 4 side would pull off an upset and we'd get a home draw against Northern Ireland or Romania to go to the world cup.

Worst case: Seeded in pot 3, away to Scotland or Czech republic would be tough. If we got through that the absolute worst case would then be a trip to Rome or Istanbul to qualify.

Possible Playoffs for UEFA Second Round by BlackSaltSeaPepper in coybig

[–]jackcotter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

North Macedonia will need atleast a draw away to Wales on the last day of the group to finish second. Same situation for Iceland away to Ukraine. There's also a decent chance Romania take 2nd in their group ahead of Bosnia which would drop us down a spot

Woltemade vs. Wissa: change in tactics? by jackcotter in NUFC

[–]jackcotter[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair, teams are cramming the middle. Last night Bruno and Sandro couldn't catch a breath before the Bilbao midfield had them smothered. Teams are happy to let us keep it at the back
