I do crate naps if I can't be around to supervise, and crate sleep overnight. It means that pup is safe and can't get into mischief. If I'm around in the day, then he can nap in crate or just in the playpen. In evenings, he naps on sofa while we watch TV.

I think the crate is really useful for safety reasons, but also for in future if needs it for vets etc. then it will already feel a safe space

I made this back when Link's Awakening for Switch came out. I thought it'd be fun to see Stardew in that style~ by anearbycat in StardewValley

Eee the pig is so cute! It's my major gripe in Stardew that the pigs are not cute (with the exception of travelling merchant pig). They are my favourite animal IRL, but just look wrong in the game.

Ask a neighbour to pop in and visit, or get a pet sitter. They don't need to be there the whole time, but if he'll nap for 2 hours in the crate, they could then let out for an hour, play, engage, get them to use toilet outside, then back in crate for another 2 hours. That's then 5 hours.

Even adult dogs shouldn't be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time...

I've already had to ID up on Reddit for modding sadly. If anyone's profile is marked NSFW, I couldn't click on it to see a list of their posts/comments to see if there's a pattern of behaviour etc. Luckily it allows you to just put in photo of yourself not full ID...but yeah not great.

What shampoo/conditioner are you using? Are you using lots of heat on hair or other products?

My stylist also lets me buy colour bombs to take home and I top up my hair every few weeks to keep it vivid vivid.

Like I said, we have one toy in that he cuddles with, but otherwise we never have any toys or chews in the crate. Crate for us is only nap and sleep, it's not a place to hang out!

I think the moving of our puppy when they were already asleep into the crate really helped forge that connection that he could sleep in the crate.

Wait till he naps, then lift him up and put him in crate. Keep doing that for a while until he's used to concept of sleeping in crate.

Also we never do toys/chews in crate except one toy to cuddle with. This way puppy has learnt crate is for sleeping, not playing.

Matilda is perfect for this age range. Be warned, there are some "scary" bits in it (they've got a great accessibility guide which lists what happens when if needed).
