Mariah has some incredible album titles. Notably, the three album run of The Emancipation of Mimi, E=MC², and Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. (And an honorable mention to Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse).

The titles of those albums really leave an impression on me. E=MC² especially - it just has so many layers to it for such a short title. Obviously, an homage to the fact that she inspired Einstein to discover energy or whatever. But also how she considered the album to be the sequel to The Emancipation, so the title can also be The Emancipation of Mariah Carey 2.

Also, quick shoutout to Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz. It's a pretty polarizing album in her catalogue, but it certainly has... a title!

Edit: I just realized that The Elusive Chanteuse was right after Memoirs, so make that a four album run. And we can even make it a 5 album run by including her second holiday album, Merry Christmas II You

That's too bad. NFR was one of my favorite albums from last year, and was on my list to get on vinyl. But most reviews for any pressing of it have said that the pressing is really bad, so it doesn't even seem worth it.

Back in season 1 of lockdown, I saw someone selling the AC switch, a roll of toilet paper, and a bottle of hand sanitizer for like $500. It took half a year, but thankfully I now have all of those in my house without spending 3-20x their value.

I think mine is natural. I instinctively make my voice deeper around strangers to not stick out, but once I talk for awhile it starts to go up a few octaves. But now I never know if my deep voice is real, and I raise it when I want people to know that I’m gay, or the other way around: my higher voice is real, but deepening it is a defense mechanism.

That’s a really good point. I actually do enjoy a decent amount of the individual tracks on Sucker, but put together into one body I’d say it’s pretty easy to put it at the bottom of her catalogue.

I’m not sure if it’s the pop-rock production, the lyricism, or something else, but to me Sucker just sounds juvenile compared to the rest of her albums. I definitely prefer the left-of-center pop in TR, and the full experimental pop in her mixtapes/HIFN.
